Would like to know normally how long is the card approval time frame?

Submitted my online application form last week, called Citi's customer care to check on the status yesterday, the CS rep told me it's not being process yet  shakehead.gif
*
For my case the CS call me less than a week after the agent submitted my application. Maybe going through agent is faster because agent want to claim commission? brows.gif

for secondary cards... once the gst is about to kick in, just cancel it and apply other banks... the alternative for citibank cash back will be UOB one credit card

need to take note on the new t&c for petrol cashback for UOB

Note: For the rebate category of petrol, the maximum Cash Rebate awarded for purchases made by the principal and supplementary Card members shall be capped at RM500 for UOB ONE Platinum Card and RM300 for UOB ONE Classic Card per month. The maximum monthly Cash Rebate payout for the rebate category of petrol is RM900,000 which is to be given out on a first come first serve basis, based on UOBM’s transaction records. UOBM does not have any obligation to inform any Cardmember should the Cash Rebate payout reach the maximum
monthly payout limit.

Wow... thanks for sharing. RM 300 maximum rebate is still OK, at 5% cash back, you will need to pump RM6000 worth of petrol a month. But the cap of RM900,000 hmm.gif this will be tough, how consumers know that monthly how many has use UOB card to pump petrol, if for the past few month, their disbursement had been in RM9,000,000, this new rules means only 10% of card user will get... hmm.. will steer clear of UOB card for the time being in this case shakehead.gif

if i read the t&c correctly (i could be wrong!), it's capped at RM300/RM500 worth of petrol transaction per month for Classic/Platinum respectively. so, your max 5% petrol cashback is only RM15/RM25.

across the board, total cashback payout (quota) is capped at RM900K.

not attractive if you pump >RM300/RM500 per month, especially those big cars  sweat.gif

Today I got a call from 60323837100, claiming they are from Citibank and wanted to enrol me in some offer. Something like insurance base on my spending. The insurance if i not mistaken is to pay for the item i buy using citibank in case i die. They got roughly explain to me how it works but i didnt really bother to listen coz i was busy at work. I never buy anything large with my citibank card anyway. In any case im pretty sure if i say yes, they will start to ask me for some "verification" before proceeding. No way I am giving my details over the phone.

Just read an article about that credit card company cannot request spouse, parents or any other parties to pay for a dead person debt. They can only request it to be deducted from that person assets..., so there is really no point to get such insurance lo...

ty noted that, let say payment due date is middle of the month, can i change it ?
*
Ya, just give a call to customer service, they will help you to change your statement cycle and thus the payment due date, but I think you still not able to fix a specific date of month, they normally give options like, beginning, middle or end of month....
