I dont advice ppl to get things i never touched/tested and only things that i have. I test extensively. Insane actually even to the point of getting custom bioses for my rams. Some even open bios. This jokers are advising ppl. laughable. but seriously it happens every year. new person, new posters etc.. all suddenly light got a epiphany and start advising people on how to spend their dough.

My advice is always spend on good casing and psu first and then build ure rig. Second try to always seek reference GC's.

thats what forums is dude. Ppl to feel good about their purchases and convince others that theirs is right.

I dont see anybody b****ing to volvo recently why their car recently at price levels of a merc less than bmw yet u get most of their tech features with a ford....

Just see the 8800gtx above. Lol they were like in standard 6 or just started highschool so how will they know. Another lesson in life assumption is mother of all farkups. A lot of reviewers last time especially was full of payola and results were always skewed.

but somewhat true also, i was previously like that as well. posting quite often in the H&A section during that time i was upgrading my rig from my ancient Dell. but think of it the other way la, cause that time i was genuinely interested in what parts is useful and more knowledge is always better. the others could be the same as well, we gotta start small mah. during high school, i was active in PC hardware during 2005-07, then i gave up cos of other matters. only then at 2011-2012 i got back into it and man, technology sure advance so far compared to last time.

Plus in the recommendations thread, what are you gonna suggest for people who want 1.5-3k builds? No way in hell are they gonna buy stuff you're so fond off. But again since you say you've tested a lot of components why not share your thoughts and edit builds ? I'm sure some of them would appreciate your experience. Not many people here have the capability to go up creating or procuring custom BIOSes and ripping their tech apart and testing to their limits. Although I wish I could too.

As for accusing them of buying with PTPTN and such, well, even if they did, most of us here worked hard for the money to get what they want.

Friendly advise. Better stop with those "spam" kind of posts though. There is actually a pinned announcement up there in HWQ&A. These days our mod has been indeed very gracious and lenient, let's not abuse it though. If there is nothing pertinent to share, then don't.

As for tech that has not been released, just lay off and don't bash it yet. When it's out, then it's your right to bash. Nvidia likes to win, and so is AMD. Whoever wins or lose is immaterial to us, what is important is what benefit it can give to end users like us. You want to see lopsided competition and pay for premium prices all the time? Then you better pray either of these camps will continue to do a good job.

Well I have to start of from somewhere. I don't even have many basic - medium intelligence of computers. I'm still sticking to the basics learning of it. How the heck am I suppose to know to build custom bios and test the cr*p off the system. I didn't even build my rig yet, heck not even started yet. I'm 16 and don't got no scholarship and I'm holding of games to get my rig. Not everyone. I repeat everyone has the knowledge like you do now. You also start from somewhere before learning through the max of it isn't that right? That's the point I, we need some guidance from you. YES people who have knowledge of this stuff to help us. People in the tered just want some piece of hardwares just to plug and play. Not some crazy enthusiast stuff to do it. Most of them just want Full Fledge Gaming Rig some want OC some don't, some want worskstation and do 3D rendering. Never did they mention going to laser beam out of the components they wanted. Like Sentinel said, not everyone going to like what you're fond of, not everyone going to take chance to rip out their tech on what's new to them. They just want to build then plug and play. That's basically most of the people that want to build a rig in the HQ&A tered. That's all I guess #rantend.

Dude i dont know how to build low end systems and get bang for the money on it. Seriously
But i think system builders like idealtech, cycom etc are in better position to advice. Y cause important factor here will be failure rate, rma, distro issues etc.. they will know which system least likely to have issues.

My advice from years of building and doing for some friends is just that 2
1. Dont skimp on PSU and get a good casing (airflow, especially airflow on HDD and cable management)
- I totally trust in corsair PSUs on the HX/AX/TxM and now Lately RM series. Not sure on the lower end. But so far these are good.
- Seasonic i dont trust any oem makes who does consumer product on the sideline. So many times screwed over when they discard that side of their business.

2. Reference Cooler. Rma rate on reference coolers are less and they are blower types and dont heat up inside the case.
- again its been some time i ventured to lower end of the cards so not sure how they do in this aspect.

Y i tell u guys keep in mind when advising people how to build rigs and etc (skimping on PSU)
some people listen and build according to those spec u recommended cause they assumed u really know the hardware
instead of being a google champion quoter.

A lot of reviews out there are skewed. I only trust hardwarecanucks and anandtech and that also to a certain degree as they are getting
test samples that out perform any retail samples every god damn time.
