DID SOMEBODY SAY FAR CRY 4!?! QUOTE As part of Ubisoft's earnings report today for the year ended March 31, the French publisher officially confirmed Far Cry 4, the next entry in the action series. It's not much of a surprise, as Ubisoft told GameSpot last year at E3 2013 that a follow-up to Far Cry 3 was a sure-thing based on the sales of that game.
"The year's performance will be led by five games--Assassin’s Creed Unity, Far Cry 4, Just Dance, The Crew, and Watch Dogs," Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said in a statement. "Watch Dogs' pre-orders are at record levels and it is perfectly positioned to become the industry’s most successful new IP in history."
Far Cry 4 is coming to Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC on November 18. Today's confirmation of Far Cry 4 comes after a flurry of leaks. Here's how Ubisoft sets up the story for Far Cry 4:
"In Far Cry 4, players find themselves in Kyrat, a breathtaking, perilous and wild region of the Himalayas struggling under the regime of a despotic self-appointed king. Using a vast array of weapons, vehicles, and animals, players will write their own story across an exotic open-world landscape."
"Following the success of Far Cry 3, we wanted to take the franchise to the next level and create a game that will surprise players and exceed fans' expectations," executive producer Dan Hay said in a statement. "Given the unique setting, we feel Far Cry 4 will stand out as a top first-person shooter and we're eager to reveal more about the game in the coming months."
If you preorder Far Cry 4, you'll receive a limited edition version of the game that includes Hurk's Redemption, a three-part single-player mission pack featuring the character Hurk from Far Cry 3. You'll also receive Hurk's main weapon, the harpoon gun called The Impaler, if you preorder.
More information about Far Cry 4 will be shared during Ubisoft's E3 2014 briefing next month, to be held Monday June 9 at 3 p.m. PDT.

Ure case hopefully ure drivers wont crash AMD everytime issue with new game.. this game with fully nvidia stuff on it.... should make things worse. but again ubisoft .. all their game launches.. always has issues in the beginning. for everybody. ALWAYS. but since they are tested the game on titan.. hoping a smooth gameplay here. Seeing how the 7970ghz kicked as it was a refresh... Nvidia will first have to dethrone the 295x2 and then prep a card for the 290x refresh. So first battle will be the Titan Z or a GTX790 and then second battle is the 290x. They already released a fully 780ti.. so really dont know what else they can do other than a 28nm Maxwell version of kepler. The last time nvidia was dethroned was back in 7900gtx with the 1900xtx. since then nope. they always held the helm. This post has been edited by cstkl1: May 16 2014, 01:49 AM
