not forgetting the right "strategy" in getting the units   

if you have ASW cert, you can apply overdraft facilities from the bank...this thing quite famous in 2008 till 2010 i think..
let say, u have 50k in asw, u convert it to cert and apply OD at the bank, bank will give u 90% of the OD cert i.e 45k...

from the OD, u withdraw another 40k and invest it in asw or asb again...u left 5k in the current to service the fee..

if u do this, you can earn dividend of (50k+40k)Xdiv rate...

if you dont do that, u only earn 50kXdiv rate...

which one will generate more money?

but of course, you have to pay the OD facilities ranging blr-1 to blr-1.65, depend on the bank...

it is not transferable..more like you pledge it to the bank...banks still accept the pledge of ASB now, but it is just that you have to have the business reg, ssm license...etc, quite strict nowadays compared to those days

just like some forummer mentioned, ASx certs / deposits can be pledged for financing purposes

i can also confirm that maybank factors in the future income generated from the dividends as your income source for higher financing limit

as with ASB financing practise,

the bank will ask you to fill & pre-sign & pre-thumbprint a selling form (Borang Pelepasan Pinjaman / Cagaran BS9) for that amount and they will keep it

they will use that form to sell the cert on your behalf if you fail to repay the loan

Anyway congrats for getting ASM units today. I failed to get any ASM but managed to get rm500 for ASW2020. I think u already "grab" my ASM units before my turn came  

Went to the post office today to pay my bills and saw a huge number of people withdrawing their AS(X)'s.

So i guess that this is the right time for those that are looking to purchase this to try their lucks.

Have always had a habit since schooling days to save some of my pocket money and bank it in and guess what happens ?
I'll withdraw all and spend it on various things such as on video games and gadgets. Would actually feel happy to own these goods but as time passes the economics of happiness reduces and ill be like damn, should have saved it instead and then the same thing happens again during the next holiday lol

==> I also have a craving to buy things I like e.g. books, computer related stuff, etc etc. But good to report that I am now more selective (some may call it calculative!) in things I buy. Cut down and buy only things I REALLY WANT. And no upgrade for the next 5 years! Ha. Make the best of what one has is now my policy. Delay gratification if put into practice can do wonders later in life. Of course, I do not mean not buying anything. Just think, analyse and then decide on your purchases. And don't go for the latest model etc. Older models will be better value for money.

Oh my gosh, i have to admit that i am proud of you.. You really have so much ''bullets'' to pump into the ASNB..

yup, Bumiputera is native of the land but in ASNB terms non-bumi muslims are "special" Minority Group which entitle to ASB

Note : However they are still non-bumiputera hence, for ASW 2020, they are classified under non-bumiputera quota.
