It's also depend on "try & error" method. They would do multiple time transaction on that day. I remember last year got one forummer deposit total 50K (donno true or not what she said). What she said they do multiple time transaction on different timing with different amount. End of day she would bring the cash to the person doing it.

Wanna ask her more info but she MIA so long hmm.gif

Sorry, silly of me to ask in that way. Anyway, I've made my 1st investment in ASN..and it's in ASN3...bought from RHB and currently they have a promotion whereby they will rebate 50% of the sales charge, e.g. 2.5% after 1 mth. Variable funds like ASN3 and ASG are generally on a rising price trend and today's price vs Wed's price, there is a 0.4% rise. It's now selling at 1.1998 and I believe on Mon, it'll be 1.2XXX. Price changes once a day.

It is just too troublesome to try to get the fixed funds like ASM, AS1M and ASW. These funds offer a slight financial advantage....main adv being no 5% sales charge...but for ASN3, with the rebate, we pay just 2.5% sales charge and I think with the possibly higher dividend rate and the capital gains (from the generally rising price)...I think ASN3 almost as good as the fixed funds in terms of yield.

Something not right somewhere. Normally ASNB would offer SC discount & the ASNB agents just follow it just like the previous ASG offer. Agents just cannot give any SC discount by just bypassing ASNB, unless RHB use own money to "subsidize" the new/current unitholders hmm.gif rclxub.gif

lucifah can help give some answer on tis RHB discount on ASN3 SC icon_question.gif notworthy.gif

It is not ASNB offer SC discount. It is the agent...in this case RHB which is offering to earn less by rebating 50% of the SC back to the accountholders... I see this as a win-win situation...RHB get more sales and accountholders get the rebates.

I was told by my high networth friend the same.
RHB Bank offer 2% flat service charge for ASN2 and ASN3 for any investment amount above 500K, lower investment amount will get 2.5% service charge. Only available to RHB Bank.

You pay 5% service charge on the spot as usual when buying, RHB Bank will rebate u after few weeks time.

So what is shared by Topearn could be true.

Okay. Somehow I understand tis is one of RHB strategy to increase their sale for ASN3 because I know not much people invest in ASN3. One risk is if they don't rebate back the money to your account later. It's better to give discount on the spot rather than later after paying 5% SC 1st icon_rolleyes.gif

Agent banks got commissions for selling the ASNB's variable funds, RHB pays back to the investors.

Last visit to CIMB Preferred banking center, saw one Relationship Manager selling ASB2 to a Datuk/ Tan Sri, overheard the Datuk invest few hundred thousands with 5% sales charge, i guess the bank get commission for selling ASN2/ ASN3, like selling other unit trust. The only different is RHB give the commission back to investors as rebate.

I think these agents are just bank employees with title Relationship managers and thier job is to sell ASN funds and maybe also insurance like endowment plans (at least this is what the relationship member in RHB Taipan Subang Jaya does). So they just earn a salary and not pocket the sales charge of ASN funds....and they have a target to meet like all sales agents. If they managed to sell say RM500,000 worth of ASN funds to a rich Datuk, RHB might get the 5% sales charge which is a whooping RM25,000......but the relatoinship member will have no share to this.

Does this means that investing RM1,000 or RM2,000 also service charge only 2.5%?
