QUOTE(belibeli @ Feb 26 2014, 02:31 PM) i really believe in "luck" for getting AS1M unit for non-bumi. Actually it's depend on "timing". Some people tell me to "try" on Dec/Jan & 1st day after dividend reinvestment of the ASx fund last month manage to grab around RM 5K within 8 minutes of trying by post office officer. 6 transactions made up the total. this month went almost one week straight to post office but not even able to get RM 10. so sad..... will try again next month. |

QUOTE(csl1987 @ Feb 27 2014, 04:27 PM) This is the thing I love the most for this job atm well, u can't get the units everyday, it's depend on units availability & how many people "chasing" it at the time Well, tried at 3pm something and today no luck And I just wondering, in terms of dividend growth, which fund is better? ASM? AS1M? ASW? because from the ASNB website, it seems AS1M and ASW is growing 0.1% per year for the last 3 years while ASM remained stagnant @ 6.5% for 2012 & 2013... about the dividend thing, I can't say much. What I know all the ASx fund pays "good" dividend rate even in "bad" year. Normally they keep some "profit" to be carried forward to next financial year |

QUOTE(ming4play @ Feb 28 2014, 01:09 PM) BTW, could I please get a clarification on this following matter: Yes, but u need to also see the staff "willingness" to help u open the account. Some staff straight away even before "trying" already said "no units available". True story a) In order to successfully opening a account (all funds type), the best period is after the announcement/declaration of divided? Thanks guys appreciate for your help. |

Does this mean there will be no extra 5% NAV sales charges now ? http://www.asnb.com.my/english/asg.htm http://www.asnb.com.my/english/index.htm (left top is the pricing for the day) |

QUOTE(plumberly @ Feb 28 2014, 11:03 PM) It was a very disappointing and frustrating day for me today. Thought it was a good idea to do a few things (7 of them) in one go when I went to town but it back fired on me. First & Last Friday of the month is always "busy" time. That's the time people pays the bill, transfer money, "add" ASx fund etc. 3. Went to a bank to try my luck on the ASX. After my number was called, went to the counter and the teller told me to find a seat and wait. He called me back after some 3 mins only to tell me that no units were available. Don't really know whether he checked or not. One MB staff is considerate enough to show me the screen when he checked for units. Others do it behind "curtains". Ha. 4. Got a parking fine on my return form the bank. I was only 5 mins past my ticket time! Now I will have to pay for the fine! Adding salt to my injury! Learning for me is to avoid going to the banks on Fri (too many people and especially so being at the end of the month). And avoid doing too many things in one trip to town! Cheerio. N.3 - I think he didn't even "try" for u, just doing "show" for u only |

QUOTE(JustcallmeLarry @ Mar 1 2014, 09:13 PM) I want to change my book bcs now a bit confusing. I told ur my case b4. 1 time i went withdraw money so happen my thumb was injured, the genius staff decided to change the thumb print on my book from left to right. So now things are really confusing. Bcs the jualan balik form also stated need left thumb print. oh it's u. now I remember your case. we all here already made it clear, as long the agents/ASNB branch verify your identity, then it's no problem. the thumb print on jualan balik form requirement is just for documentation purpose only. if anyone complain on unauthorized withdrawal, then only they check back all the document given. if not, nothing happens. the only time they use it is when end of the day, the banks /ASNB do their daily balancing / closing account for the day This post has been edited by davinz18: Mar 2 2014, 12:17 AM |

QUOTE(plumberly @ Mar 2 2014, 09:17 PM) Yes, can try the PO. Agreed, PM staff are more "friendlier" & helpful compare with banks staff, but sometimes I do get the "bad" one. It's depend on your luck From my many trips, I find the PO staff are more helpful and patient than bank staff in helping to get the available units. No offence to the bank staff if there are some here in this forum. Cheerio. No hard feeling yeah all those bank staff, I'm telling the truth |
