1) you should have upgraded to platinum right before your next gold gst charge, then cancel your gold and use your gold tp to redeem for your new platinum gst after transferring the tp over. so you won't be incurring additional gst for the new platinum 2 cards. you upgrade now for what purpose? golf or insurance? if not, why upgrade now?
2) yes, since you are now a mbb platinum card holder, you get to call the toll free number with direct customer service to handle your questions/requests.

you mean during application? i think no matter what you chose, you will still receive a copy of monthly statement by post. my wife chose online/email but still receive a copy by post. and they did not charge her although in the application form stated rm1 per monthly statement.

of course, the bank will be happy if you choose to use their cc instead other banks' cc.

last decades when my credit limit was still low, i requested for my cimb cc for temporary increase of credit limit. i can just simply give any reason even for reason like going to have a big purchase soon or others. and if the reason was not accepted, the cs will suggest me another convincing reason so that she could increase for me. once they increased, it will be 50% higher and last for 30 days. so i can use to buy anything. lol...

which means your statement just out today? which is why you haven't received and can't view online yet?

1) yes, you get 5%+5xtp paying those bills during weekends using amex via m2u
2) no, but you can exchange anytime with tp once you have accumulated 12,500 tp

you only pay when they charged to your statement.
but even after you paid, and when you accumulated 12,500 tp later on, you can redeem back the rm50 and it will be credited back to your account.

you can request them to deduct from any of your available points. if not enough points, they will deduct the balance from other available points.

it's faster to call in for this request.
