This laggy refresh is Titan Quest's fault. It also appears on CRTs. QUOTE(Neo8663 @ Jul 22 2006, 02:43 PM) Last Question: how bout see DVD...?? is that ok for full screen??(like CRT monitor).. which is the best between 2025wm and dell 2007?? thx!! Widescreen DVDs are 16:9 ratios while widescreen LCDs are 16:10. So you'll still get some black bars on the top and bottom of the movie even in fullscreen. So for a 20" WS monitor - Dell and Viewsonic - both have their pros/cons - which would you guys buy, and how much is the Viewsonic selling for?

Thanks mzaidi.
That means if I do intend to game on the Viewsonic VX2025, I would need a graphics card capable of high frame rates at 1680x1050 ? If I were to switch it down to say 1024x768 I would get 2 black bars on the left/right sides of the monitor ?

No black bars. Just that it's gonna b stretched n blurry. This post has been edited by ianho: Jul 23 2006, 12:27 PM

QUOTE(Diademz @ Jul 23 2006, 02:38 PM) what about 1280x720 which is native 16:10 ? Would that still work? Uh, on LCD, it's better to use Native Resolution or else the display will be blurry. IINM, 20" Widescreen have a native resoultion of 1680x1050.

For My Dell Ultrasharp 2405FPW.. There Are 3 Options.. Fill, 1:1 And Aspect.. 1) Fill = Stretch (No Black Border) 2) 1:1 = Original Size.. Means If You Set It To (1024 X 768), You Will Get The Original Size (Of Coz Black Borders At The Sides) 3) Aspect = Enlarge Without Stretching... (Only 2 Black Bars)

Dell LCDs has the aspect thing so you could still run at the normal 4:3 ratios even in widescreen with black bars on the sides. For viewsonic, they dun have the aspect feature i think but you could probably use nvidia control panel to force it. Correct me if I'm wrong.
