Yeah, i guess after CNY the 226BW should be officially launched. I managed to get 1 unit in, I placed booking on 3/2/07 after saw it demo-ed during the Vista launch, somehow the shop managed to get just 1 unit and I picked it up yesterday 11/2/07. I suppose when it's finally launched it should be easily available.

First time using LCD but I must say, so far so good. No ghosting, colour is vibrant, the screen is STILL too bright but I haven't had time to fully adjust all the settings yet. Today wanna go home early to tune it up properly... hehehe....

Hardware shouldn't be a problem, spec stated it's supported. Anyway, I have to go and test the 3007WFP. To see the real life out come. Mostly I will not run much game with it.
If I have to upgrade the GPU for the screen then I will pass.

Last Sunday, I went to LY and saw Acer 24" widescreen....it was soooooo nice & very very big...the price is around RM1880, much cheaper than Dell 2407WFP 

Indeed features offer by the benq on the 24 inch model is good but the price is also quite high as well. Going to test up the acer 2423 to see how it performs as a budget 24inch

for 2560 x 1600 ur referring to ur 30 incher?As for the games i am referring to play at max setting, Cyrsis would be the game i am looking forward to play at max. A single 8800GTX enuff for Crysis @ Max? planning to get the Acer 24" btw......sweet price for a 24" WS!!

After around 1 week with my Acer 2423W, I would say its well worth for what I had paid. Viewing angle and color reproduction is good as well for this monitor. For those which mentioned of the "no signal" error, never even encountered once. This monitor also had auto power down feature as it will power down itself after some time, if I not mistaken, I didnt enable the auto power down in my window power settings. Will need double check on it.

Brightness on this 24 incher is just too damm bright as I need to lower it down to 0 to find it usable. Contrast value at 60 to 70 is ok already for my eyes. Backlight bleeding didnt notice much. Regarding input lag, its close to unnoticeable to me.

For around rm1.8k, I would say its a good buy for a 24inch lcd monitor, the cheapest where you can find in the market. The only thing I dislike is the stand as stock available here are all non adjustable, unlike you found from online review. Those that come with rotate and height adjustment are all al 2423wtdr model, where as the one we found here is al 2423wtd or al 2423wd, which imprint on the huge box. Need to check it while back home tonight.

Dell's dead pixel policy is minimum 6 pixels to get a new LCD exchange...At first, i told them i got 4 dead or stuck pixels appear on my LCD, then they told me whether i can find another 2 dead pixels to make it 6 pixel    

Then, dunno how i did managed to convinced them to exchange a new one for me 

For sure now, Dell's customer service is excellent and satisfaction guarantee 

how about acer 24'' lcd widescreen , anybody using it ? . how about perfomance n quality. lowyat sell about RM1800

Would like to thanks those that replied to my question earlier, I got my 3007WFP over the weekend. It's great! Loving it. PLanning to use it as my TV in the living room once my new house ready. Now temporary using as my display.

no problem on GC with > 64MB video ram +latest driver. 99% can do 1440x900 60Hz.

has anyone got a chance to check out BENQ's new LCD screens? Their specs look awesome! 1080p (1900x1200) and with HDMI cabling.   

Not sure on the price i think its about 2.2K for the 24incher. Just came back from Penang PC FAIR.

Penang PC FAIR really sux a$$. i need to come back to KL and see some REAL hardware setups displays. sheeshh...
