Nope. Occasionally will kena.
Maybe I use the word occasionally too freely.
It’s like every few days. I’ll have to crank twice.
On all sort of situations.

Yes, most likely start issue.

Normally like alternator, starter too can be refurbished.

Can get a new one if you like but make sure it is Denso.

Get an OBD meter, and monitor your temps.
*
Already have and for the past 1 week, no loss of coolant noted. Temps are normal too.

you know anywhere to refurbish starter in kl?
i remember there is one legendary shop recommended in fnf for alternator.

can't remember if they also refurbish starter.

edit: found the thread: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2537796

Its Kwong Weng Auto Electrical Service and Trading.

Google or Waze them up and yes, they do repair alternators and starter.

Mind as well you do both since our cars is aging and these parts needs to be refreshed.

The stock HU (audio player unit with screen).
It has odometer, tripmeter and fuel consumption info in there also.
I mean, if i remove it and switch to 3rd party Android player, those will be gone too?
Any other owners changed and can share info, please?

Car is park under the hot sun from 9-5pm. Company only has open car park.  sad.gif

That might be the reason on the paint fading issue. Plus going to car wash which use the high pressure water might contribute to this as well.  doh.gif

Anyway, what would be average cost to paint entire car? Got quoted from 2.5-3.3k
*
Price to repaint is around there.

Recently spent quite a sum to repair my car aircond system.

Cooling coil gave way again after 7 years, so need to replace that and other wear and tear components such as the magnetic clutch, expansion valve and also the receiver drier.

After doing the above, 1 month later, the blower motor and the resistor gave way and needs replacing also.

I guess old car needs more repairing but to me still ok since it is problem that is easily identifiable and is expected time for replacemenet.

Wow that’s a lot !
Mind sharing what were the first symptoms of trouble on your AC ?

Mine goes off at very rare intervals (maybe once in 6 months) for about 15-20 mins then turns back on. Usually triggered when car is parked with air cond on. Thinking if I need to replace some parts now that it’s in it’s 12th year
*
My aircond problem is expected. At first I knew the cooling coil has a leak as I can smell a weird chemical like odour in the car. Since the original cooling coil also gave in after years, I suppose it is time for the current coil to go.

Since already doing an aircond job, mine as well replace other related parts as I don't want to visit the shop too often.

The blower motor and resistor I thought can still prolong but it stopped after 3 months after I did the cooling coil and other related stuff. Replacing the blower motor and resistor is a lot easier and doesn't need much time.

For your case, is it the aircond blows out hot air, then when you off and turn on, then only cool air starts blowing? If that is the case, it is highly likely related to a relay (I've replaced that too since it is cheap, around RM30 only).

Thanks for sharing, yes makes sense to take advantage of workshop visits and do related scopes together.

My issue is hot air that remains hot no matter what I do (switch AC on/off, switch fan on/off), then becomes cold by itself. Will get it checked
*
Your expansion valve is the issue. You did not replace this part previously when changing the cooling coil is it?

Haha. They have probably conned you and you are still dumb about it. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Never learn your lessons keep going back to con shop! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

It is weird because my experience with VMAG was they always try to save money for you.

Even I requested to change certain parts, they will say it still can be use. In addition, their pricing is considered quite cheap.

For your info, if you replaced the brake disc without replacing the brake pads, there will be a squeeling sound later because they disc and pads are not evenly worn.

Did the Honda SC replaced both disc and pads for you?

Are you sure you went to the correct shop?

Definitely correct shop still have the farker phone in my contact list. Besides the obvious con, if they are so expert, should have recommend to change both, isn't it? Anyway, Honda SC checked and told me it's not ori and gave me back the disc, after they replaced it with Ori discs.

Do you have reliable workshop outside can trust besides this ranjiau VMAG?  I am actually looking for a workshop to do some overhauling. Honda SC quote me RM1.2k, just want to compare price outside and see. Thanks.

Nowor.. my regular that needs to replace big ticket items is still VMAG. tongue.gif

Honda City 2013 owner here. Seems that there is some engine oil leak. Not serious, when parking overnight, maybe 1 - 2 drops on the floor.

Suspected Oring or vtec solenoid or maybe gasket.
Any recommended honda specialist mechanic to recomment in Subang /Puchong area for me to take my car to ?
