Thanks for enlightened.

Wonder there are different number of 36b20l vs 38b19l in addition to that regular ns40zl.

Only found the 38b19l in my old NB batt. Maybe i missed out.
*
The 38b19l or 36b19l sounds like panasonic batteries. Shouldn't matter as long as u tell the seller u need ns40zl, they will know which battery to give you. Other sizes won't fit into City.

Mind sharing with us what are the parts involved during 100k service? I think you can save at least 500 bucks if service it outside but still using original Honda parts that you can purchase from Hingan. If I am not wrong, 100k service should involve:-

iridium spark plugs (HONDA SC PRICE RM400+) (SPAREPARTS SHOP RM250)
SN 0W30 FS Honda engine oil (HONDA SC PRICE RM200+) (SPAREPARTS SHOP RM160)
engine oil filter (Both are roughly the same price at RM25 each)
engine air filter (HONDA SC PRICE RM70+) (SPAREPARTS SHOP RM50+, i manage to find cheaper at RM30+ using the Honda yellow air filter which was made in Thailand)

Labour at HONDA SC may charge you around RM150 where outside working may charge you around RM70.

Overall, by just replacing these few items but using Honda original parts, you're virtually saving roughly about RM400 already.

As for aircond, if its ain't broken, don't fix it. Save the money for aircond repair when it really breaks down.

bro, you sure bout this? im still holding this advise, 6th yrs now aircond still ok (touchwood lar)..
*
Ya, Imagine you perform aircond service once every 2 years. Cost to do so is about RM300-400. By the 6th year, you have saved about RM1200 already. Can use the money for aircond repair later.

Any idea what exactly happen during the aircond 'service'? They clean the unit and add more gas?
*
Add gas, add oil to compressor, clean cooling coil and maybe change a new condenser.

Yest sent my car to Honda SC for normal servicing. Checked and found out that car battery is weak (need to change).
My question is ss there any similar car battery (e.g Yokohama, Century, Furukawa) comparable to Panasonic with higher CCA ?
*
As far as I know, Panasonic has higher CCA compared to Yoko and Century. Not so sure about Furukawa.

I googled for Century Ultramax NS40ZL (high spec) and this is what I get.
http://centuryauto.com.my/century-ultramax...e-free-battery/

CCA 351
RC 58

However I tried to google for Panasonic NS40ZL, manage to get info
http://www.thebatterycellonline.co.nz/category/73756

CC 330
RC 55

Anyway, I opted for Century Ultramax since not much difference and also trade in my old Panasonic battery at one of the shop at Ara Damansara.
Price was RM180 inclusive of installation.

Now trying to get my hands on Bosch Carbon Activated Cabin Filter and Air Element.  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Bro, actually I was comparing it with Century Marathoner. The Ultramax battery box is blue in color. That 1 very expensive. Normally retail selling it at RM300+.

is compressor cleaning (by spraying chemical fluid). aorund rm128 if not mistaken
it's fullly borne by Honda..no charge
*
Oohh.. actually that's not a compressor... It's the cooling coil. They spray the chemical to eliminate bad odors.

sorry my bad..old fag here

is it necessary?

i was surprised that the cabin & intake filters was full of dust and grime. didn't expect to be that bad
*
They will clean the cooling coil when u service ur air cond but of course without the chemical spray. I personally feel no need to spend rm128 on that spray as cleaning with water should be able to remove most of the dirt on the coil.

Today i went tenaga setia to service aircond. They said the front UR strut bar is obstructing them to perform the aircond service and wanted me to pay rm80 to uninstall and reinstall it.

Anyone here face the situation where front strut bar will obstruct mechanic to perform aircond service?

Hi guys. Would like to ask whether why my 2009 city mudflap always hit speedbumps. It feels very low. Is it normal or theres something wrong with my suspension? And also my car's rev is not stable during idle. It keeps dropping n rising. The car vibrates when the rev drops a lil. What prob is that? 😰
*
Its time to replace your shock absorbers after 7 years.

190k. 😣. But actually mine is end of 2010 model. So just the absorbers? I dont need to change the spring right? What about the absorber links? Sorry ya noob here. Cos previously my dad was using this car then now Im using it and realise all these problems and dont know who to ask. Scared bring to mechanics kena potong. 😕. There are some other problems like clunking sound from the gear box when it downshift when it has not enough power during uphill and also sometimes when I start the engine it gets like stuck for a while. By any chance you know whats wrong with all these or is it normal? Really appreciate your help. 😊
*
Absorber usually will be replaced at 50k to 100k depending on how you punish your shocks. Suspension links don't need to be replaced unless they are cracked. You will need to get a mechanic to inspect them.

I can't really advice you as I can't see the condition of your engine and how it behaves.

Ooo. Ok. I guess I will just get the absorbers changed for now. Roughly how much does it cost to change all 4 absorbers?
*
If you buy from spare parts shop & fix outside, maybe around 700-800. If you do it at Honda SC, maybe around 1100..

I checked with them yesterday when service my car...

The staff assisted to check the system and only effect for driver side airbag on my car
*
That's what all SC will tell you. I was told the same thing too. However, an email to Honda Malaysia confirmed that our City requires passenger side airbag replacement too which is under the 2nd batch recall. Part shipment will start arriving in July onward.

How do we enroll into the 2nd batch recall list?
As I have changed mine, but only for the driver side airbag,I have told Honda SC many times that there is a new recall for passenger side airbags as well, but they said as of now they only receive instruction to change driver side airbag for my model.

Honda city 2010 here.
*
I email to Honda Malaysia asking whether I need to replace the passenger side airbag. They later call me it is required & they will call me again when parts are available to make further appointment at SC.

RM220? Add a little more & you could have bought original Honda pads.

Guys, Would be getting my City tomorrow. I need some guidance and shop reference for the following.

1) Tinted,

Film thickness 4-6 mil
TSER >50 %
VLT JPJ compliance
UV Rejection =99%
IR Rejection = 85-95%

Budget RM1000-1500

Must be original Film from USA with certified or official distributor.

2) Coating

Currently looking at Sierra Glow since it's the cheapest in market.
Please advise on this? Is it shiny & longer lasting? Any alternative?

3) Bodykit

Need PU or PP material bodykit with good & experienced shop around Penang as well.

All these im looking around Penang area. Please advise/Pm. Urgent.
*
My advice is no need to do coating. Spending 1 or 2k on it is a waste of money. Better take the money & do yearly polish & wax.
