Good for you and hope it remains that way. However, perform a search for "mibox" in this Kodi thread or Home Entertainment as a whole and the recent posts from current owners suggests issues.

Mibox has no compatibility issues at all with Kodi.
If u are comparing Minix Neo X8-H Plus i will tell u why u claim It has no prob.
Minix has 16gb eMMC storage space whilst Mibox has 4gb eMMc.
Being said that, Mibox reserved 2gb space for operating and recovery purposes , leaving only 2gb for apps.
Now a "decently" setup Mibox with all the apps will leave only about 700Mb space.
As u know, Kodi does alot of caching so without proper Kodi maintenance it will eventually takes up the whole storage causing Kodi to crash, but mind you the Mibox operation still has no prob because it has own storage space.
This issue can be easily solved by adding a sdcard (16gb class 10 selling only RM50) instead of using the on-board storage.

Plus, Mibox uses MIUI which often receives firmware updates so android functionality wise, it would only be better.
I dont know about Minix, does it has firmware updates OTA or has to manually done?

So being said that, Mibox at the priced 1/2 of Minix, isnt it worth it?

On Genesis, my daughter watches The Pony. For some episodes, it puts a tick mark and not for all the watched episodes. Need to wait till it has 100% completed the episode so that it will register a tick?

Preferably to let the whole video to finish playing it should auto tick as watched.
But sometimes its really buggy, just press "Menu" button on remote, or "right click" mouse to manually set it as watched.
Sorry duno keyboard shortcut.

Check whether storage space low or not, and do a "reboot" by long press "OFF" button on remote

Edit: See this thread, has a picture of the box and tips so far. Kodi has successfully been installed on it and it runs albeit with some issues (expected). Also see user MK84's YouTube videos. Pretty good.

Im using Genesis but since 2 months ago i cant load any HD source anymore..
Best source i can watch is HQ source by "ishared".

The most common repo are Super Repo. Just install that addon and can watch any english drama/movie content.
If u want more specific content like sports or cantonese then u need to read more for different addon.

Xiaomi device does have English UI so have no prob for chinese illiterate.

Im still trying to findout if its possible to save thr whole kodi settings including bookmark/favourite movies in addons (specifically Genesis), without manually doing it.
Kinda hassle when talking about android.

Different source different bro.
So far im using Dizilab and Dizimag 1080p no buffering even on 5Mbps.
Moviefars 1080p got buffer.

Yeah, im using Genesis only. Somehow i prefer the layout and everything in Genesis rather than Phoenix and others.
