Hmm, when u say auto updated, guessing you mean the addons and not KODI as a whole? Are u running Jarvis or Isengard? If Jarvis, did the issue start shortly after its overwriting Isengard? Probably time for a clean install.. Nuke em.

Edit: For the future, get a dedicated flash drive or SD card and maintain stable backups.. Saves a lot of time spent on reconfiguration.

Explain "failed".. 500MB free is quite limiting and might affect caching & streaming later.

Yes, if overwriting Isengard with Jarvis proves difficult, then try a fresh install.. Meaning full uninstall. You will lose all addons & settings. However, you can make a backup first.. How? Search this thread for instructions.

IMO, the MiBox isn't that KODI friendly... Limiting hardware.

but i don't think is the memory issue. Yes, i am using android box, Himedia H8. Previously just working perfectly.

this box has no memory issue.

likely the org.xmbc.kodi folder is corrupted during the update.

just remove cache, files and uninstall kodi at settings, reinstall kodi 16.0 jarvis from playstore.

500mb. tricky...

while the app is only 1xx mb, once the folders are populated, it can take easily >1gb, depending on what repos u install and what addons u install.

i installed only a dozen addons and that has taken up 1.17gb.

from xbmc to kodi, from frodo to jarvis, this app has grown a lot in size - small memory devices won't work anymore.

i'm not a big user of kodi anymore but had just checked...

pleasantly surprised to find PHOENIX in good shape! the latest update is good - new "phoenix tv", "phoenix sports" and "phoenix latest releases". int'l news channels, live sports, tv shows, movies most links working... and quite a no. 720/1080. ip man 3 and crouching tiger 2 all in there, enjoy while it last! rclxms.gif

exodus is fine.

genesis is dead.

Just reinstall it... Everything working fine.. Except azdrama. It just can't play. Any advise?
Or it just can't compatible with Jarvis?

unless u got a message that the addon is incompatible with jarvis or something like that, azdrama is no diff from other addons. they can stop working anytime, come back again when there is update. welcome to kodi! tongue.gif

and unless u are "dependent" on azdrama's eng subs, u r better off using other china apps for chinese movies and tv shows - a lot more and in HD. yr himedia h8 should come with all of that unless u bought in china, got no help here.

ah... hk/canto dramas...

this one, only malaysians other than hk'ies want it, not popular worldwide.

other than azdrama/kodi and illegit iptv channels, u can also try those browser based sites - typically incl korean tv shows and eng subs.

just google, u will find them. can use them on the browser. there are several, most with old shows, video quality not so good, and potentially come with malware. i never use them.

I managed to update jarvis on my mibox.
Do not uninstall isengard because it will lose all your previous data.
I used ES file explorer app> go to the browser inside the ES File explorer app> browse to http://kodi.tv> go to downloads> find current release (which is v16 jarvis) go to the android icon and click the ARM at the APK install options.
ES File explorer will download, open and will ask you if you want to continue as it will update from the previous version.
thats it. all your addon stays intact, but with jarvis now.

hope that helps.

thanks a lot, this really works.
I found the problem is that I install with x86 instead previously.
but the mi box original file manager can't install the ARM, thus cause the problem.
everything is fine with ES file explorer now.
