Hi sifus. Something weird happened to my Kodi (PC) app today. Has been working fine for a few months now and just today suddenly videos I play only can hear the audio without picture (for all sources, local network and streaming). But when I test out the video on other media player like vlc no issues. Can anyone help me pls?

If I recall correctly, toggle off or on, the 1st option under hardware decoding in settings (expert mode) ... Something to do with amcodec..

Thanks for the reply bro. Is it the settings under the acceleration tab? I cant seem to find anything on amcodec.. Already tried all the available render methods, dxva-hd, dxva, pixel shaders and software. No luck..

What happened was, I was watching a bluray disc then decided to make adjustments to the video settings from within Kodi. Next thing i know, screen turned blank but can hear the audio, even subtitle is visible but no pictures...

Tried restarting Kodi, rebooted the pc but still no change...damn..

Hmmm, my bad as the amcodec option possibly only exists on Android versions. When I had the exact same issue with my android box, toggling the hardware acceleration options and restarting KODI worked then.

Need help here...

Bro, I don't think u accessed the correct source for the addons. That is why u can't download the repository.

Anyways, just for everyone else's info should u experience the same issues I had with losing display during playback, pls pls do a backup of ur settings once u have everything running properly. I managed to get kodi working again after completely uninstalling the app and user settings. Just annoying to have to do all the settings etc from scratch again

Im still trying to findout if its possible to save thr whole kodi settings including bookmark/favourite movies in addons (specifically Genesis), without manually doing it.
Kinda hassle when talking about android.

Provided you are restoring to the same device, you can always either manually backup the entire KODI folder or just the "Userdata" folder in Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/ OR Download the "Backup" addon from the programs section of Kodi/XBMC add-on repository. Configure backup location and schedule timings for auto-backup.

P.S. Typed the above from memory so might have skipped a step or folder location. No worries, should be easy to figure out as the general idea is there.

Mine on small white box ec6108v8. Kodi installation is straight forward and easy since it has playstore already.

Actually I no longer use Stalker since this week. Whenever I play a link, the video only last less than minute before it stops. Must be some kind of new security.
