Hi guys. Been reading quite a bit on kodi and the requirements to get it up and running properly.. definitely quite a learning curve for noobs. So maybe I should just get the basic intel nuc instead of the raspberry pi2? Still considering which to get. Didnt realise the rasp pi2 not that suitable streaming from flash websites. Basically its the nuc vs rasp Pi2 http://www.lelong.com.my/intel-nuc-5cpyh-2...7-01-Sale-I.htmhttp://components.ubitap.com/raspi_kits#...ategory=6054024The nuc is about 3 times more expensive give or take This post has been edited by stuff79: Sep 8 2015, 10:20 AM

Wow, thanks for the explanation. I'm sure many will find it informative. I actually played around with kodi back when it was still xbmc frodo if not mistaken. That was quite a while ago. Rpi2 is a nice little device for sure, I'm just worried I run into problems later. Or get both =)

When you say loaded from HD or other sources do you mean via streaming source? Streaming could be either via your local network or internet. If played via usb it should run smoothly at least from my experience.

Yep, agreed about the internet streaming but to a certain extent it can be made watchable with some tweaks. To be honest I am more familiar with Kodi on the Windows platform. Even on a repurposed old laptop, blueray movies running off a blueray disc plays smoothly as long as it meets Kodi requirements. Maybe on android, hardware decoding isnt natively supported for certain chipsets?

Hi sifus. Something weird happened to my Kodi (PC) app today. Has been working fine for a few months now and just today suddenly videos I play only can hear the audio without picture (for all sources, local network and streaming). But when I test out the video on other media player like vlc no issues. Can anyone help me pls?

Thanks for the reply bro. Is it the settings under the acceleration tab? I cant seem to find anything on amcodec.. Already tried all the available render methods, dxva-hd, dxva, pixel shaders and software. No luck..
What happened was, I was watching a bluray disc then decided to make adjustments to the video settings from within Kodi. Next thing i know, screen turned blank but can hear the audio, even subtitle is visible but no pictures...
Tried restarting Kodi, rebooted the pc but still no change...damn..

QUOTE(teniqcnerd @ Nov 10 2015, 07:20 AM) Need help here... Downloaded the KODI isengard version on to my laptop. During setting up the KODI and after refresh the KODI home screen change Try to install add-on, fusion, superrepo and total. and yet I can get what has mention in this fourm.. Please tell me where I have did wrong. Bro, I don't think u accessed the correct source for the addons. That is why u can't download the repository. Anyways, just for everyone else's info should u experience the same issues I had with losing display during playback, pls pls do a backup of ur settings once u have everything running properly. I managed to get kodi working again after completely uninstalling the app and user settings. Just annoying to have to do all the settings etc from scratch again
