In Singapore, you guys must go to Goodwill bird trading shop.... full of rare parrots and birds. And their accessory shop is awesome! The variety of bird food and toys.... crazy crazy.

I went there, met the owner but I was in a rush so didn't have a chat with him. Planning to go back during my holidays.

I was in JB last year. I visited a pet shop. It has a few cockatoos, an African Grey and a blue Macaw. All the parrots were very tame. I was very fond of the Macaw. It was very playful and also a very good talker. It could say Gong Xi Fa Cai, Hello, Ni Hau Ma, Omi To Fo and many more. The Macaw always ask for a hand shake by lifting its foot and said 'shake hand'. Before I left the shop I bid farewell to the Macaw by saying bye bye and I was shocked that the Macaw waved one of its feet and replied 'bye bye'.

I nearly bought a Cockatoo which the owner offered me $2,500. But some how the wing was a bit cacat.

I love Macaw too, but it is darn freaking expensive to own one. I did make enquiry 2 years ago, it was more than Rm8k & above.

And I have no experience in birds, so dare not buy such an expensive one. Better start with something small, Cockatiel.

It was my dream to get a cockatoo back in the 80's. It was selling between $400 and $800 then.
I was at Brickfields pet shop a few months back and was told cockatoos are now priced between $5K to $8K!

I remember I bought a cockatiel for only $45, now it is selling at $180.
And a Lori at $120 but now it is at $900.
What a price increased!

Not RM8K, I meant more than RM8K, can't recall the exact figure. But that Macaw cannot talk yet some more.

I had just booked a pair of baby love birds. Will collect them next week. Still need to hand feed, now just 10days old.

Chincilla is cute, good idea, sure she will love it. Ferret is cute too but really smelly.......even I also cannot tahan.

Both also need a lot of attention and special care. Not easy to maintain.

My Cockatiel is getting familiar with us each day. It can now demand to come out from its cage, and go back to its cage by itself. It enjoys riding on our shoulder walking around. If I sit down, it will fly towards my table and explore. Now it isn't afraid of my dogs anymore. Very fun pet to play with.

My Magpies very hard working in singing everyday. Very entertaining in deed.

What mutation colour are your love birds? The pair I'm buying is Lutino Peachfaced. But I would love to have Peachfaced Opine.

Wow..you really rich! One Macaw can cost up to RM15k, 4 of them will be RM60k! You want to become a Macaw breeder?

Here is the breeder/bird farm list you could find African Grey and may be Macaw. http://pet-cockatiel.com/Dboard/viewforum....25a410845e52d2c
