U can get the whole bike at 880 bucks~~complete with tyre, 8x3 shimano gears and etc~~
but the frame is painted in yellow with the word "hummer"...my friend just bought it~~
if u sell off the parts that u dont want...u can have the frame for sub 500 bucks
*
That is hummer.

In my case is exactly the same even the wording.

Hi Foldies,

Just wanted to ask around to all Speed P8 riders here... I'm having issues with my telescopic handlebar stem. I've had the bike for several years but lately been having this problem whereby the handlebar is easily twisted out of position whenever i apply any pressure. I have tried to tighten the QR nut so that the clamp is as tight as I can handle, but still doesn't work.

Any one having this issue? Or any advice on how to solve? icon_question.gif

Thanks lots!

Wht is so difficult to paint the same word....?

The montague frame design is bein copied by many factories in china all wanted to produce the cheapest but looks almost the same. So d seller can't proof tht it is not a hummer.

U might as well get a hummer n diy paint it n stick the sticker.

Original Paratrooper frame is made of 7005 aluminium, supposedly lighter. China copies are using 6061 aluminium, strength-wise seems the same but heavier

There's some link floating around comparing original Montague frame and china Hummer copy

Best giveaway is probably that the original Hummer frame uses CLIX quick release while China hummer copies use just the normal 9mm QR from MTB front forks.

I'm new to foldie. Thinking of getting one too. That's how I got here. Always been a road bike cyclist.

Hi all foldies/bikey Gurus ! smile.gif

I'm fresh to folding bicycles as I don't even have one foldie yet. I'm planning to get one pretty soon but I would like to hear more from you all smile.gif

I'm a Penangite, the island part. Here's some questions that I'm having :
1)Bicycle's Shop that sells Foldable Bicycles
(Reasonable Price & Good Service is possible)
(Best if the shop do owns those entry-level bikes)

2)Brand recommendations for freshbie like me smile.gif
(Budget below RM700, may goes up to RM1000 max)
Not really well funded yet, but hoping that price can gets me a good one.

Thanks in advance for all your replies !

Initially i set a budget of 500-700, but that doesn't get me much choices.. The garion (http://www.thebasikal.com/product/garion-folding-bike/) or the Raleigh UGO is quite 'Near' to that but if you raise a couple more hundred(s) you will have more choices..

if you are from Penang, check this guy out maybe? He has the cheapest Java Fit on offer : http://www.bicyclebuysell.com/item/249435/...pec-as-java-fit

ah..u are also looking at Fit?

try to compare with this and let me know what you think ? http://www.bicyclebuysell.com/item/249435/...pec-as-java-fit

It has the same spec as Fit, and both Java Fit and this XDS are made in China... the only unknown factor is the aluminium grade.

Go to Lim Bicycle opposite Sunshine square, great selections, service n price

unless u're looking for Dahon or Tern then most likely u'd have to go Chin Aik at Carnarvon street

Newbie here to folding bike, using friend's java fit 16x. Using it to commute to work due to the recent monorail service disruption. A great alternative although need to pace myself so I wouldn't sweat too much before I reach office.

Sweat much or not, it is hard to say. 2km commute to work can make you sweat a lot too.

it is depends how fast you cycle, when you cycle and what kind of terrain of your route.

if you dont want to sweat alot, cycle in average of 12-15km/hr, flat terrain and reach your office before 7am.
