Hello Forumer...
I own a 2000 Honda CRV First Generation Last Batch...
I installed a Koni Yellow Sport Suspention paired with H&R Race Spring (RED)

The car was so stable on high speed mostly when I travel KL-IPOH once a week...
Its the sport best suspension setup I've ever own in my life

Now Im driving a 2nd Generation Honda Jazz GE8 CBU with paddle shifter...
On last week of chinese new year I brought the car to TITAN specialist...
The gave me the brief yet most reviewed I read on forums said that its the most comfy adjustable on the market...
So I made a decision of installing them...
Before I proceed to them I told them that I want a setup that are good for conering while theres a comfy side...
I gave the car to them and I was given their persona that equip with their Titan Adjustable and I was suprise how comfy the ride is and the steering feedback while conerning is very impressive...

On the same day I got the car and drove it to home I found that the ride is quite harsh...
I was like oh its ok maybe it the nature of adjustable suspensiom...
On the night I tried the car on MRR2 to cheras and I was like WTF!!! Its very stiff and bouncy like hell...
Even my friend that was with me said its like your shock dont do their job...

Later on next day I went back to them and they installed me their spring 5K on front and 3K on the rear...
I was like oh ok Im fine with the ride feels...
Later on the other day I traveled back to ipoh...

Again I was like WTF!!!
Its still bumpy and bouncy while cruising on the highway...
And the next week after I went back to them and they told me that they will try to soften the shock compression...
I proceed and it was the 2nd tuning and it was the last tuning they gave me as a new buyers you have the ringht to get only 2 times of free tuning...

Suddenly while I was waiting they came to me and said it not possible to soften it further more...
So they sunggest me to come tomorrow morning to get back my oem spring to be install on the rear...as We cannot proceed it on the day as its already 5pm...

So on the next morning I went to them and I left the car to them with my oem rear spring...
At about 4pm...I went back to them and I saw the height of the rear was like WTF!!! It was so hight as same as stock setup...
Before I proceed to transplant the oem spring I was told that they can make the height setup as low as the current setup with thier spring which was 2.5 finger gap...
But once I saw it...I said this wasnt right...
So I told them to installed back their spring and the shock compression is soften to the setup with oem spring...
Still I have to paid them...Suppose I was quoted RM100 for the tuning and I asked them to make it RM50 since I was a customer that didnt met the setup I wanted...

So I paid...

And now Im on Ladang Bikam R&R going back to IPOh reporting you guys that I am in huge dissapointment with the ride quality which still bumpy and harsh...
I paid almost for 3k and yet I drove the car like riding a horse...
I even ride my friend VIVA with a FAKE D2 and still full of comfort I felt on his car...

Guy can you give your opinoin please...
What is wrong with me or their quality that is USED to be THE BEST among of All Brands of ADJUSTABLE on the MARKETS...

NEWLY FRESH UPDATES

Hi Guys...
Im back for reporting of good news that I've got...
Yesterday I was called by Them (Patrick , Wailong & Herman).
So I went there at about 10.35AM I Arrived...
There was only him at the moment ad Wailong and Mr Richard is out for breakfast...

Once Arrived I met with Herman a person Who's incharge for me since day one I step my foot to Titan HQ for installing it on my GE8...

So we have some of discussion, at first were discuss regarding a knocking that appear on the front right side.
We didnt bother about the ride issue I've got as our goal were more on the sound issue...

Well after we went thru some explanation to each other for the ride I proceed the car to them to sattle with the knocking...
Once sattle he'll proceed with the ride tuning.

So I left the car to him and I went back home.
At about 3.50 I got a called from Herman to get to him for testing the car.
I was asking to soften the front setup at least 10% while the rear setup was already softer to 15% last week the day I wrote this thread...

So every was done I arrived there and I was first saw Wailong face...
I was a bit like ( tak sampai hati la) with the way I wrote to this thread like making a harsh complained but he still smile at me while waiting me to reach him so that we could discuss more of the setup that he himsilf, herman & Mr Richard...
By the time the knocking sound was done.

So the setup on the front was soften at least 10 percent but maintaing the current ride height...
But Wailong and Herman did notified me that the front will have rub issue while tackle corner before they gave me to test the ride...
There was also one of customer (ANIL) who I know since our 2nd tuning joining with me for a test ride as he came to reduce his sentra front spring rates .

He did also said that i'll rub the fender & tyres.
So we test the ride on a slight uphill road that a bit of beralun and I try and fast as possible taking a fast corner and suddenly as what the expected (Wailong, Herman, Mr Richard and even Anil)...
It was rubbing all the when taking the hard corner without breaking.

I retured to the base (Titan) and i doubled confirm with them with rub...
So I was suggested by Herman, Wailong and Anil to raise a bit the ride height and I asked them why cant you guy make a setup that is 2 finger gap without harsh ride quality and without rubbing and they told me that the current ride height was was 1.5 finger gap...
I was shocked that time and I walked to my car and placed my 2 finger on the gap...and It was tight to enter my 2 finger...

SO HERE I WAS THE ONE WHO WAS WRONG WITH THE GAB MEASUREMENT.

IT WAS TRUE THAT IT WAS 1.5 AS WHAT THEY TOLD ME EARLIER...

So I and herman did laugh on my stupidity...Haha

So I agreed with them and proceed the setup they suggested.
Once complete they told me to get a test on highway.
I drove the car and entered mrr2 but unfortunately it was already quite heavy traffic...

I didnt get a chance to feel the ride with 2 inch gap front and rear...
So I returned to Titan but both Herman & Wailong was out already...
It was already late evening so I returned home but I doubt about the feeling of the ride as I drove my GF CAR KIA POTATO (PICANTO LER) with a boat suspension and I feels I'm high as the suspension is really floating HAHAHAH...
So I cant tell whats the feel of in my car with new setup...

I returned home without paying any even its already 4th time tuning and even Herman did whatsapp me early in the morning today asking about the ride feel...and he dont even tell me to pay...

Today I went to them again for tighten up the mounting on the rear suspension as it tends to make knock sound because according tp Mr Richard the the mounting suspension of my car only have 1 screw with a shape of mounting of 'Kuih Talam' and its not a good as other suspension
mounting it other car.

Wailong just now even detect a knock sound for me that I've didnt notice before and he did told me to change my engine mounting.
It was only appear when we hit big or harsh potholes.

I just told him to detect the knocking sound from suspension mounting yet he discover more than I imagine in order to let my ride free of unwanted sound.
But Im ok with that as long as there is no issues or sound come from the shock.
Still he never asked me to pay for the setup yesterday...
Even Anil told me that Wailong refused to charge...

Now Im writing this to report that the ride quality is start to develop on me and while I drove back home just now from titan and I enjoy how well the shock compress all the uneven road and once i reached home I stup my engine off opened my door and I said
'IT DOES FEEL LIKE IM NOT USING ADJUSTABLE' but 'FEELS LIKE ONLY USE SPORT SPRING BUT TAKING CORNERS LIKE HAVING ADJUSTABLE'

After a long journey with this setup...
Probably the 1st fully adjustable i'VE EVER OWN and IT ALSO DOES PROVE TO ME THAT ITS THE BEST ADJUSTABLE I'VE EVER USE BESIDE KONI WHICH WAS SEMI ADJUSTABLE...

ITS YET THE BEST AND COMFY ADJUSTABLE I HAVE...

THANKS EVERYONE AND BIG THANKS TO TITAN ESPECIALLY PATRIC (FrozenIce) WHO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE TO TITAN...HERMAN WHO'S ALWAYS WITH ME INCHARGE OF ANY PROBLEM I'VE GOT AND WAILONG WHO IS ALWAYS HELP ME IN TECHNICAL PROBLEM AND INSIST ME OF HOW TO GET THE BEST SETUP THAT SUIT ME AND THE CAR...

Bro, if you benchmark based on your prev ride - the Koni and H&R Spring, then i am sure you'd be dissapointed....Koni is noted for being firm but comfortable which is slightly stiffer than OEM...but Titan is adjustable - and the bad news is there is NO comfortable adjustable in the market...and the brand is also monotube, it 'feels' the road more than other adjustable...of cos i am sure you'll be grinning from ear to ear whenever you attack corner, but unfortunately even the softest setting wont be comfortable...have heard and seem owners returning adjustable to the shop, as they cant bear with the stiffness...adjustable is an acquired taste....either you live with it or part with it, 2 options, yours to decide

Haha I know that the brand you mentioned is already out of the list...and the price for those brand is sky rocked...
What im referring is brands like Gap...zerozone...bc racing...d2...even tien as not as good as them with the same price tag that you'll only get a twin tube adjustable for tein while with titan you get a monotube and its inveterted as same technology use by rieger tuners for bmw...

I went there like 5 times already yet they said somthing that cannot be done and showing you some butt face every time you come to them...
What kind of service they give you for the price of 3k?
Nothing...
Better i get those fake d2 far more comfy...
Hmm

I got 'em on my ex-E46. Let uncle Richard sit in one of friend's M-Sport specced E46 and told him I wanted the same comfort but even better when comes to cornering and stability. After a wait of almost 8 hours, I got back my car. Car is slightly lowered (compared to stock) despite on original springs. Let the shocks run-in for almost a week. Still feel abit soft. Went for 1 round of tuning, and I got exactly what I want and happy for what I paid for.

Paid RM2.7k for the shocks alone and springs were stock BMW non-Sport springs. I would say it's one of the best shocks I ever tried. Very stable at high speed and cornering but yet offers the comfort when comes to normal driving. Not bumpy at all. It just absorbs all the unevenness of the road. I never had the confidence to do 200 km/h on my old shocks but with the Titan, the stability gave me the well required confidence. Got another BMW with stock M-Sport shocks now but I still prefer the old Titan setup. Prolly gonna replace them with Titan once they die.

I believe you may need to let uncle Richard test a setup which you prefer in order for him to have a "butt feel" and tune the way you wanted it. That's just based on my experience. And perhaps Titan's springs were not suitable? Try one round of tuning while using back your stock springs (ignore the height for the time being) and see how they feels to you.

Uncle Richard always advised to go back to stock springs should you require some level of comfort.

but do you know that actually twin tube application more suitable for street driving? because in the same length body, the twin tube structure will provide a longer stroke.

from your problem, i think u need something off the shelf, not customize , so buy , install and go, no need many problem, if u wan comfort better opt for sport spring and sport absorber, because the linear spring for sure will be less comfort than the progressive one smile.gif

u want adjustable and want sapu corner and you want comfort?

who told you sapu corner type of shock will be comfortable?

Try asking them to adjust the rebound - it could be too quick so you feel bouncy.

I'm using Titan on my 2006 smart forfour and yes for 3 months, car was hopping and ride super bumpy. Now, after more than 3 months of suffering, ride is more comfy and I can attack corners easily then b4. So, I guess, u need to be patience.

If you want the best of both worlds, I believe Koni FSD is the answer. tongue.gif

Anyone here heard of F-Tuned Racing? Another Malaysian made custom suspension specialist, they're mostly ex Proton engineers IIRC

I told them why my car cant perform a comfort level that most satisfy cumtomers get...he said your car is light...and most noticable comfor that I feels were from a heavy sedan...
Even his persona is even more comfy...

And yesterday i met one of the customer there that came for servicing his titaned Myvi...
I asked him hows the setup he get...He also said that the ride in not comfy...so assume what they said about the type of cars and the weight of cars plays important roles with their suspension...
Maybe titan is not that good for a light compact car..?
Well I just assume based on what the myvi owner said...
But when it comes to the customer who titaned a sedan car they got a comfy side...
Hrm...

Bro if I wouldnt care about the height so whats the piont of having adjustable...the height that was made by them using stock spring way higher bro...
Like a boat i must said...haha

One more thing that they told me was the tyres that Im using is still stock michilin and its soft side wall and the tyre is 185/55/16 with 6.5jj...

So maybe by changing some hard side wall tyre let say 205/45/16 with 7jj will make some comfy and eliminate the bumpy symtomps??

Bro I love your explaination...
I would want to find more so that I can get the setup you did get...
But how possible it is?
Its already the 3rd round tuning still the same result...
Previously there was a customer with the same car as mine...
The setup he got for the front is same as mine with titan spring 5k rates...but rear he use the stock spring and did lowered nicely...but when it comes to me they cant lowered the stock spring as what did the customer get...

Please enlighten me...

just want to know, did Titan use back ur original spring or they give their spring?
AFAIK, if u want more comfort n handling better then OEM they will install their absorber n tune it to match the spring rate from ur original spring.. if its too bumpy then something wrong with ur ori spring.. if they change it to other spring then u never get back the comfortable u searching..
did they test ur car before they tune it?

as for me, i also ex-Titan user.. i ask them i want street setup (proton wira), after they finish install i thought the rear side its a bit high to my likeness, but they ask try 1st.. i try it for 2-3 months still i dont like it.. then i just ask my mech to lowered it to my like.. then after that i really confident to attack corner as fast as i want..

so much wrong information here..

coilovers can be "comfortable" or should i say, compliant. coilovers can be firm but still reacts to the uneven surface of the road. most cheap coilovers do not have the tech and valving for compliancy. but of course, good coilovers will cost you > RM4k.

also, a true linear springs can provide better ride quality because the damper can work efficiently.
