Just activated and configure this modem last night. Tried it for a couple of hours, so far so good. But it wont detect my on board mobo(activated using the cd). Luckily i got an extra pci nic lying around.

May I know what is the difference between DB102 and DB108? Is there any way to disconnect a PPPoE connection via the console/web interface?

DB102 : Normal ADSL Modem
DB108 : The same modem but have wireless capability.

Last night my old Aztech DSL600W suddenly can't connect to internet (DSL and Internet led no light, but Wireless led is on) so I tought it's dead. So I take out this Riger DB108-WL from TM to do setting but the DSL and Internet led not lighting up too. Wireless led is on and I can connect to the router using 192.168.1.1
Since it's very late at night so I didn't call TM for help. But is it both modems got problem or simply streamyx down? hmm.gif

Riger DB102 is a piece of crap modem. If TM want to give you this modem, say bye bye. Insist to change to another modem because there are million of problem with this modem.

Streamyx helpdesk support is almost useless. Lack of technical knowledge. Don't even know the basic of network. You can test them. Maybe by asking simple question. Can you give me the names of 7 OSI layer?

Better speak with Advance Troubleshooting Team (ATS). They have better experience and knowledge.

Seriously....do not expect too much from a "free" modem. Tried it today..gave up..keep on dc .. now stick to my old dlink 520b. Riger modem...keep.

Need help here. Has anyone face this problem??

I just get streamyx package installed. It is running fine on my laptop, but not on my desktop.

Problem: Desktop pc cannot communicate to 192.168.1.1 (modem Riger DB102). Have searched the internet and tried to copy setting from my laptop to the desktop but still cannot. I have tried:

1. 192.168.0.1
2. https://192.168.1.1
3. Turn off anti virus, minimize startup program.
... and many other thing but still cannot connect to the modem. I am suspecting some software ( windows or something else) that preventing the auto setting of IP address.

To all the sifu out there pls help me.

1. what is ur OS
Windows XP Pro SP3

2. what is ur ip address //
IP set to "Obtain an IP address automatically".
From cmd.exe --> ipconfig,

Ethernet Adapter;
IP address: 192.168.1.3
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 192.168.1.1
