I cant access the modem page for some reason. I use belkin wireless G+ router MIMO and this modem. I can only access the belkin page. 192.168.1.1 doesnt work, I did a scan and yes it did showed up.

pinging the modem gives an average of 168ms. Is this normal? =\ I get lag spikes every so often and it seems like the modem is the source , if I read the ping report right.

After get yourself into the modem configuration page ( http://192.168.1.1 )
Go to WAN (or Routing) -> PPP
then remove the rules at there...

After that, don't forget to save your settings by go to Admin -> Commit & Reboot and click Commit.

if it changes into modem mode, can it be connected with a switch and everybody can use it?

currently my line is like 'hilly'.. for 2 sec, the connection seems fine and after 2 sec, the line went dead and after that fine again.. it's like the life line in hospitals..

Nope. It needs to be in routing mode aka it needs to act as a NAT Server. I don't recommend people to use this modem as a router , the chipset isnt suitable for heavy loading routing (i.e bit torrenting , online gaming and other stuff)

Just set it up manually instead of using the CD

Make sure your DB102 is set in Bridge mode instead of routing mode

bro, tried a few changes here and there, but looks like the default mode works better,
even default routing also ok ok only lah with a lot of ping timeouts.

the best long term solution is to set the modem as bridge and get another router to do the heavy stuff thumbup.gif

Select Smartconfig and select Bridge mode. Let it configure. Then save the settings and reboot !. It will be in bridge mode

This modem is terrible when you convert it into a router. But other then that its a superb modem

You'll have to configure your router to dial the connection. Otherwise it will be offline. Set it in the bridge mode (aka factory default) and configure the settings in your router or PC

Anyway, if the PC light is off, then it mean your laptop is not connected to the modem...

Yes....l think my notebook is not connected to the Modem,
when l try to ping 192.168.1.1, it does not respond as well...

my modem already used for around 7months (connect to desktop),
all the while is working fine.

when l try to connect to notebook, it is not working (but my desktop still can connect to internet)...
after that l reset the modem...the modem not respond at all...even my desktop also can not connect...

wondering is it modem already broken???

in my system view of riger db102 modem, show up a column with 510kpbs for speed and down column with 2047kbps for speed too. is it means that there's an 2mb coverage in my residential area? when the 1st time i subscribe to streamyx, it's only show 512kbps for up and 1024kbps for down. TQ.

Im confusing with this modem. This is my setup

[DB102:192.168.1.1]--->[WRT54GL:192.168.2.1]--->[PC:192.168.2.1]

No matter what mode either routing or bridging using this modem whenever i run utorrent i cant access http i.e surf or even the modem page or my wrt54gl page. Its kinda weird before this i run the modem into routing mode i can torrent and surf but then after some reading i try to make use of my wrt54gl routing feature. At first i suspect it could be openwrt bug but then it seems complicated when i plug my pc direct to DB102 the problem still there
