my modem seems hanged a lot today.. the data LED didn't seems to be blinking and the internet was out.. any suggestions? issit heat issues?

if it changes into modem mode, can it be connected with a switch and everybody can use it?
currently my line is like 'hilly'.. for 2 sec, the connection seems fine and after 2 sec, the line went dead and after that fine again.. it's like the life line in hospitals.. |
