Hi supersound,

It will fit, but we recommended at least Elite 431 for better compatibility. smile.gif

Ok thanks. Anyway, I decided on going air cooled heat sinks as this Elite 311 are quite cramp to put a water cooled system like you said. Been using CM stuffs for the past 10 years thumbup.gif
Using 311 I need to drill a hole on top to let fresh air in.
But all your CM air CPU coolers should be able to fit AMD CPUs, right? As I bought a CM air cooler last year for my 1st generation quad core AMD CPU. Don't want to waste money and letting the good stuff laying in the box for no reason.

hi supersound,

You'll have to refer to the technical specifications which can be found on the box of the CPU cooler.
Support for AMD CPU Socket AM2/AM3/FM1/FM2 should be present. nod.gif

Already installed, better performance than the original CM CPU cooler in terms of noise.
But temperature only dropped by 1°C, so need to get a thermal grease, add another fan for it thumbup.gif
Anyway, what is the suitable fan for Hyper 101? I thinking on adding another fan to have push/pull to improve the cooling, thanks.

its depends on you whether you want to get optimum cooling for the cpu or gpu. if you want optimum cooling for cpu, let the 120v fan push fresh air through the radiator and into the case.. this will ensure optimum cooling for cpu.. but will increase air temperature of the case and less cooling to the gpu.. if you want better cooling for the gpu, let the 120v fan push the air out from the case

After studying the casing configuration(CM Elite 311), using liquid cooler are not a wise step for me.
So I still go for air cooled(Hyper 101) but some modifications will be needed to increase cool air to enter the casing.

Hi supersound,

We're sorry for the delayed reply.
You can opt for our Blade Master 80mm fan for the Hyper 101. smile.gif
Though, good overall airflow in your casing is required for the best performance out of it.

No worries, since I still got some time before buying the fans and thermal paste.
But yes, I need to open 1 hole some where to increase the air flow.

So today I got my self 1 12cm fan for casing inlet, 1 8cm fan placed on the CD drive tray as air intake and replacing thermal paste.
Prior to this, the average temperature are at 47-50°C and now maintain at 43-46°C.

i just resent my rapid-i for warranty claim... The LEDs are faulty.. I want to know is this going to be a constant thing?

One by one the LEDs start failing. If this is an issue, just order a recall and allow users to change it to something else.

The same thing has happened again to my Rapid-i keyboard. It's the 2nd time this happened (see my earlier post on this thread). While it is currently still under warranty, it's a hassle to bring it in for warranty again as there doesn't seem to be an official warranty service center for keyboards. Going to Lowyat's AllIT Hypermarket is a bit of a hassle for me.

To the Cooler Master representatives here, is there a newer hardware revision for this keyboard that fixes this problem? This is a RM300+ keyboard so we hope that it is more reliable than this.

Hi theMadMan and bansai,

We're looking into this issue, thank you for the alert.
Could both of you pm us one or two picture of your Rapid-i and its affected area? nod.gif
