QUOTE(plumberly @ Feb 11 2017, 08:31 PM) Now and then when I run an add-on in Kodi, I get "Exceeded Youtube quota". How to increase that quota? How to overcome this restriction beside waiting till the next day? Thanks. Get your own personal API...

QUOTE(buybuylaptop @ Feb 14 2017, 08:32 PM) Does it work well for controlling android box? May I know what brand and how much did you pay for it? Such do work. Though, better to get a decent remote + mouse/touchpad + keyboard combo for best results. They aren't overly pricey, considering their usefulness and time saved. QUOTE(zombie24 @ Feb 14 2017, 10:35 PM) A break indeed you must have. You asked what we thought about the box and by we, you undoubtedly meant fellow forummers. Dwrk merely responded with his design thoughts, as per such an open-ended question. Ain't nothing wrong with that. Of course he as well as frequent posters in here knew you were interested in the box's performance. However, and as you've noticed, excessive spoonfeeding is highly frowned upon in a public forum.

QUOTE(crow190569 @ Feb 15 2017, 02:58 PM) Hi Guys i have been using the MiniX Neo X8-H Plus 4K Ultra-HD fro slightly more than a year now. It work perfectly with Kodi. Now in order to update to Kodi 17 (which requires Android 5.x.x ) i cannot do so. Is there anyone who know how to upgrade the firmware on the X8 (it does not do it automatically like my Samsung phone) or can it be done? Thanks in advance. Suren What's the version number of the currently installed firmware? Latest is FW11. The Neo X8-H plus has an OTA update feature. So either you are already on the latest firmware or the firmware you have installed is too old and doesn't have OTA updates built in. Either way, head over to the official Minix forum and you'll see instructions there. Last I checked, the Neo X8-H Plus will not (at least officially) be getting a Lollipop update.

QUOTE(crow190569 @ Feb 15 2017, 03:36 PM) Ahhh ok Thank You Voncrane. When i run updates it says my firmware is the latest and up to date. I think Lollipop was what i was looking for. Ok then thanks. At this point or in the near future, you might be thinking about a hardware upgrade.. It appears that Kodi is important to you and desire its update. With the exception of the likes of Nvidia Shield TV box... Hold off on purchasing newer hardware till this whole Kodi v17+ is sorted out by chipset and box manufacturers. You are welcome..

QUOTE(crow190569 @ Feb 15 2017, 03:51 PM) Yes Kodi is important to me as it is currently my only source of entertainment. When you say Hardware update you actually mean buy a new box right? Thanks bro. Sorry ya a bit of blur when it comes to this kind of things. Yes, I meant getting a newer and better device. Same here, over 90% of my box's usage is through Kodi. From Krypton, the Kodi folks have made their move.. Now, we find out if it's that important to make manufacturers step up too. My money is on yes.. QUOTE(coolguy99 @ Feb 18 2017, 09:06 AM) thinking of getting the minix neo U1 as a replacement to the mibox. is this the best box around? Minix Neo U1 better than the MiBox? Yes, no doubts. However, specs-wise and if you have a 4K HDR TV, get the HiMedia Q10 Pro (some mandarin may be required) instead. The best remains the Nvidia Shield TV Box running Android TV OS.

Good to know the full experience can be gotten either way.. Checked out their support website and firmware updates and instructions are in English too..
