I believe this thread is for sharing info, having certain needs met and not ranking who's box is the fastest, etc.. Here's an example, I have 3 Kodi variants installed on my box; one is left as stock (Minix_few MB), the other I use to test builds/play around (Jarvis_sometimes over 2GB), while the last one is considered as a stable installation, having about 10 core addons (Official Jarvis_under 1GB). Pray tell, which do you think would launch or quit the fastest? Which has the higher potential to crash or be buggy? Does that then speak for the box? So I believe even after answering the above questions (you've painstakingly thought of... much effort  ) per box, it still doesn't really answer what the typical newbie is interested in.. Seasoned Android box users pretty much know what they want and how to go about getting it..

1 min? many experience kodi simply won't shut down!

I would like to do a survey here after trying a new TV box recently. Noted a significant difference in the speeds, startup, shutdown etc.

Seeing a faster response is indeed comforting. Ha. So would like to compile some data and share later. This may also determine which TV box I get later! Ha.

Kodi... FAV will work. if it does not work, it may be that the saved fav is an old one, not working anymore.
delete it, then go to the working channel, add it as fav again.

Yes you can.. Involves installing and most importantly, configuring a compatible skin.. Some work required.. Remember, this is Kodi and not some preconfigured Live TV device such as an Astro decoder. That's why they charge the big bucks.. Maintenance and ease of usage comes at a price..

Wanting to do my own setup since I started on this TV box thing.

Tried again with the Super Favourites. Some successes and some just hang there. I thought it is possible to put sub menu as favourite rather than just the final link.

imo, that box is the best box himedia ever made!

ok... until an upgraded q5pro 16gb android7 comes out, i hope.

q5ii, q16, q5pro/q10pro have hisilicon chipsets.

h8 has rockchip, not as good as hisilicon.

diff tv's, diff devices all have their own characteristics.

i set all devices  at 70-75% vol and using tv 20-30%, ok.

I think i will buy this one too. but  dunno yet either 2gb/16gb or 3gb/32gb.
