Effective June 1, 2025, five (5) channels from Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) will be discontinued. The affected channels are listed below:

• Family Pack: Food Network (Ch 708), Warner TV (Ch 712), DMAX (Ch 716)
• Kids & Knowledge Pack: Animal Planet (Ch 556)
• Sports Mega Pack: Eurosport (Ch 825)

No channel replacements, no price reductions, no nothing.

BBC News (Ch 512) has been added to the Kids & Knowledge Pack. Subscribe through the My NJOI app to start watching.

Starting tomorrow, Astro Vaanavil (HD Ch 201) will be free for all NJOI customers, becoming the second in-house channel after Astro Awani (HD Ch 501). You no longer need to purchase the HD Pack to watch this channel.

Hoping Astro Ria, Astro Prima, Astro Oasis, Astro Vinmeen, Astro QJ and TVB Jade will be free for all NJOI customers.

anyone got experience change/upgrade Njoi box?

been using 5+ probably closer to 10 years at kampung, box still using the old astro style decoder every channel change very laggy

saw on the website new box design. any advantages using the new box? also can request for box upgrade or something?

Njoi doesn't have upgrade option like normal astro account, recommended buy new Njoi decoder

As long your Astro box can view HD channels, then just continue using that.
There's no significant advantage of buying the new box, unless your current box spoils.

Or, are you referring to the legacy SD box (software UI mainly in blue colour, and only supports SD channels)?
If not sure, show us a pic of how your NJOI box look like?

joshhd , if use the DMT4 or hd zapper which can receive hd channel no need to buy new box , use current 1 until spoil

Yes.
I feel the older box models like the DMT4 is more smoother and responsive compared to the newer HD zapper boxes.
I guess they use lower hardware specs to save cost for their later models like the HD zapper. Even if you buy new NJOI box today, you'll still get the same HD zapper model.

So yeah, as long your box can receive HD channels, then just continue use it until spoil.

Think it should be slighty higher just to get 148 & 149 to be in proper SD quality not in downgraded SD as of now

If the priority is no monthly payment for a reliable set of TV channels, the NJOI box is still the best option.

but those free air channels that NJOI box provides - worth to watch or not? a lot of them are bolehland free air channels also. use the TV built-in digital tuner also can receive.

Still, NJOI has free ad-supported channels that you can't get over terrestrial TV. That's one advantage there.
So it depends on you...
It is still "free for life", but doesn't mean those channels are free for life.
They can use their service T&C to argue that they have right to amend their offering at anytime.
The moment you get NJOI is where you consented that you've agreed to their T&C. If not happy, then stop using it.
