Astro use domestic antena to receive media prima .. uhf? Vhf?... lol
*
That the reason when you watch those Media Prima channel through astro with HDMI or component video connection, the dot crawls still exists.
Astro own broadcast not affected at all.

When astro received the composite signal, it is not properly separated. They must be using cheap separator for that.

The second possibility is......media prima sends the improperly separated composite signal before they feed the broadcast to astro station through fiber connection? (Highly unlikely)

Edit: Damn autocorrect.

Ah, very easy, follow my instruction well.

First, switch off the decoder. (As in unplug the power cord, full disconnect from electricity)

Now, the moment you turn on the electricity, pay attention to the red LED at decoder. Once it blinks once for the first time, quickly press the ON/OFF button THREE TIMES.
The forced update will start. Dont put too much hope on this method since our decoder may not have any update in the first place.

1.What's the latest price for new user? I already have an Astro account used by my mom in another house, and now subscribing to Njoi, so considered new user?
2.Nearest dealer or contact number for installation in Pandan Indah area?

Serious buyer, want to install next week.

Now that a tough question.......

My friend watches the prepaid sport channel using njoi.
On the other hand, I only watch TV1 7:00pm documentary (Mon-Fri).
My mom watches 11:30am hokkien drama at 8TV (Mon-Fri).
My dad prefers to watch CCTV4 5.20pm to 7pm (Mon-Fri).

The only complaint we all share are the darned commercials pop out of nowhere in middle of shows.

But at least the video quality is better than FTA rabbit ears antenna reception. No more grainy or snowy reception.

Except the part where 'no signal' when heavy rain occured.

Meaning I need to have the dish, decoder and smart card before I can apply for njoi? If I install at other house, the technician can do the cabling for me?

-Just a head-up to all: if you have Astro decoder and dish already installed and working properly (but deactivated; showing "please insert Astro smart card" message), just walk-in into any Astro service centre, tell them the decoder serial number and ask to activate NJOI, they'll give a smart card to you at zero cost (RM0). Tested and proven by myself when I reactivated the Astro (now NJOI) service for my elderly aunt/neighbour (she has the DVB-850S decoder). thumbup.gif

Note: I was asked for my IC during registration, but the account will still be under the decoder's original owner's name. I also provided new phone number for this NJOI registration.

Regards. smile.gif
