I agree that Spurs defensive errors opened up the chance for us to score. But this also exposes the fact that without Hazard playing, we are really doomed, as in scoring will be very much difficult. Luckily our strikers hit their stride too.

Chelsea always had the best chance the score from set pieces, not open play like the manchester clubs.

I like what I am seeing with JM's substitution to the game. They really changed the game as evidenced with many times this season.

Haha eto'o trolling the gaffer with that celebration, obviously referring to jose hinting at the possibility of him being 'over aged.' not sure what the boss thought about it,though. laugh.gif

Finally Ba gets a look in.Although it's directly related to nando getting that strange injury in the warm up,those 2 goals killed spurs off completely and will help his confidence a little.

Mourinho pleased to see Eto'o make fun of him with old-man celebration after Chelsea boss had questioned striker's real age

Samuel Eto’o showed he bears no hard feelings to Jose Mourinho over the Chelsea’s boss’s jibes about his age with a goal celebration mocking his OAP status.

Mourinho was caught on camera recently suggesting Eto’o was 35 rather than his stated age of 32, but the Cameroon striker looked like a teenager as he raced on to Jan Vertonghen’s disastrous back-pass to put Chelsea ahead against Spurs in the 56th minute of their 4-0 win on Sunday.

And his goal celebration — walking like a hunched old man to lean on a corner flag, feeling his back — brought a smile to his team-mates and Mourinho.

i thought spurs was controlling the game in the 1st half and in the 2nd half, the introduction of oscar bring a lot of positive in the attacking area. he's doing all the donkey work. running, tackling, chasing and pressing high up the pitch. not a brilliant chelsea's performance by any means but we were there to punish spurs. really glad to see demba ba on the scoresheet as well. start with eto'o or ba in the midweek clash against galatasaray? something for the gaffer to ponder and think about...

i woke up a bit late last night and only turned on for the game on the 38th minute but overall, we deservedly win the game.

i think jan vertonghen will be a big player after his error last night. he is already awesome as a center back and player of his calibre usually becomes better after recovering from their disastrous performance. i read somewhere that liverpool is looking to get him if they manage to be in UCL next season. somehow, i hope we can hijacked the deal considering the age of terry and the fact that vertonghen will greatly enhance liverpool defence next season.. that guy is good looking as well haha

He might not be prepared for the game as he well included in the squad last minute after Torres pre-match injury.

But I do doubt that he have gotten minutes either way. We need to be patient with him. His time will come soon, when Jose thinks he's ready. Hopefully we can see more of him towards the very end of the season.

Haha that's good to know.Guess the fact that we smashed 4 goals past them probably helped. A big win always helps with team morale, and i'm sure this confidence can be transferred to the next game. Saw schurrle celebrating with the lads at the end,so hopefully he's not too down about being subbed smile.gif

yap..winning is the best cure for every problem in the world of football..or at least ease the pain a little if not exactly solved it. schurrle lost the ball a lot against tots..he cant really move or find spaces for pass..its a good sub out by Mou.
