I agree that Spurs defensive errors opened up the chance for us to score. But this also exposes the fact that without Hazard playing, we are really doomed, as in scoring will be very much difficult. Luckily our strikers hit their stride too.
Chelsea always had the best chance the score from set pieces, not open play like the manchester clubs. I like what I am seeing with JM's substitution to the game. They really changed the game as evidenced with many times this season. |

Guys, we need 8 homegrown players for EPL. For champions' league qualification, we need a minimum of four trained at home.
My 2014/2015 team If we are to let go Cole, Eto'o, sell Ba, Marin, Wallace, Moses, Delac, Kakuta, Romeu, Davila to finance Diego Costa and Shaw Two top GK GK: Cech, Courtois, Schwarzer, Hilario Two first choice, rotation and understudy CD: Terry (Club), Cahill (nation), Luiz, Zouma First choice, rotation, understudy RB: Iva, Azpili, Kalas First choice, rotation, understudy LB: Azpili, Shaw(nation), PvA(Club), Bertrand(Nation) Two first choice, three rotations CM: Ramires, Matic, Lampard(Nation), Mikel, MvG Trident: Hazard, Oscar, Wilian, Schurrle, Salah Striker: Diego Costa, Lukaku, Torres My thoughts. 1. Diego Costa because he is awesome 2. From above roster, we are short of two homegrown players to play EPL and in champions' league. 3. Three rotations for midfielders because we need the depth when we switch to 4-3-3 4. Luke Shaw because he is 18 and will be Trained at Club in three years. Azpili will eventually replace Iva in a few years and Shaw will replace Azpili's spot at LB. 5. Combined salary of Cole and Eto'o would be enough to cover Costa and Shaw. My concern is the cost of bringing them both to SB. 6. To solve shortage of players, pick any two of the following Trained at Club players: Piazon, Omeruo, McEachran, Chalobah. My pick are Piazon and McEachran as trident and CM respectively. Omeruo can be promoted to the bench once Iva retires. Chalobah to the first team after 2/3 years once Terry retires I didn't mention Lalkovic, Traore, Hutchinson, Clifford, Kane, Bamford, Baker, Ake, Atsu, Feruz, Thorgan as they would more experience on loan to prove their worth. |

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Spot on. Although I reserve my opinion regarding Salah a backup in the trident. |
