who knows, as k610 debut later than w800 n w810

Just discovered one thing not sure if you guys noticed.

This phone has a CCD lens instead of CMOS. Any particular reason for it? (correct me if i'm wrong, I saw it from Mobile88)

One thing I know is the camera quality's damn poor, ridiculously poor, expecially taken at night under dim lights. Mine's already sitting in my closet's HALL OF SHAME category after only 2 weeks from the date of purchase.

ya.the camera quality very poor. taken inside building with a lot of pendaflour lightings reveal alot of noise.and i mean ALOT. and everything looks quite blur although it is 2mp. the quality is jz like 0.3mp phone.

but the design of the phone is quite cool. better looking and lighter than my k750. but the D-pad is quite hard to press as it is very small.

its a 3G signal if i not mistaken...

Yes it is the 3G icon. It will disappear once it is outside of the 3G coverage area.

i heard that joystick of this phone is bad, how you guys think about it?

i thought most of the joystick for SE phones is the same la... not different...
maybe outlook not same but inner is same...

Seems the SE K618i "Coming Soon" has been taken down from www.sonyericsson.com, is this mean that it is officially available?

i think soon will be available...
so wait for 2-3 weeks or maybe a month from now..

yes indees the joystick is quite bad .. but compare to others this is the best ...coz a frned of mine said for joystick like k750 once spoil ..the whole phone is useless =)...correct me if i am wrong..

if spoil go to shop n fix lor.. very easy thing

hmm...just bought this phone 3 days ago... arrkk.. no auto focus function..

this phone does not use joystick, but it uses D-pad. Bad for gaming, but for navigating is quite OK. I still preffer joystick like in K750i/W800i.. but i heard that the joystik tend to jam when too much dust get into it. U have to clean it up when it's jammed. I actually like the blue-back-lite from the D-Pad.. it feels cool. And the screen is as big as the W810i screen, 0.1inch bigger than K750i or W800i. But it's not that much different coz they use the same resolution, 176*220. Overall, i like this phone very much, it meets my requirement.. make sure u buy the ori 1, i but AP set, can't update firmware OTA. Haven't try to update firmware from SE Support tho.. I would recommend this phone to those who wants cheap 3G phone

Hi all, the firmware for my K610i is R1CB001, is this the latest firmware? By the way, I noticed that I could not perform multiple character search for contacts (even though I can type multiple characters, but it juz only about to search by first character). However I have no problem using the multiple character search inside file manager. Is this a bug?

Anyway, found another bug on the phone, when a message is being "use"d(Eg. More -> Use -> Call), I cant even delete it. Need to restart the phone then only can delete.
