When you say core at 1577 you mean the boost clock? What did you actually set the core to?

yup the boost clock. The core speed running the Benchmark shown in Afterburner

I set +160mhz for core in Afterburner, +400mhz for Mem. No overvoltage. but the volt jumps around 0.8-1.2v regardless i overvoltage or not

AFAIK AMD GPU do not have this issue, personally using a gigabyte 290 reference card & a sapphire tri-x.

No need, just plug and play, not even needed for the link cable

So far 290/290X 's crossfire is better than SLI. Maybe need to wait for Maxwell's successor for new gen of SLI.

you are correct! i mix my Sapphire R9 290X Trix OC with Sapphire R9 290X VaporX STrangley it should follow lowest base core but it follow VaporX which is 1,080/1,410mhz and auto OC my Trix .... wicked! haha
