If want to easy OC, just use AMD catalyst control centre. Then go to Performance Tab at the left side, choose AMD Overdrive.

Then Enable Graphics Overdrive (tick the box), and adjust maybe 4.5% for GPU clock settings, 4% for High Performance memory clock settings, and powertune set to 20%, click apply.
That should make the card around 1000Mhz core and 1300Mhz memory like our Tri-X smile.gif

Powertune is Power Limit setting?

Doesn't AMD Overdrive will restore the oc value when the PC reboot?

Ya, I usually put power limit to 20% for gaming since the card will throttle if the load is too high on the GPU (it can't run at full 1000Mhz on my card). Be advised if you use 20% the GPU will produce more heat depending on games. But Tri-X cooler is good enough for it rolleyes.gif

Yupp, it's not hard to set it everytime anyways. Only set it before gaming, kinda safer since if the OC is not stable the PC will always reboot in stock speed.

i know this is old story... but what you guys think of this status score that GPUboss give to the Gpu...
1) http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-R9-290-vs-GeForce-GTX-780

2) http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-R9-290X-vs-GeForce-GTX-780

3) http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-R9-290X-vs-Radeon-R9-290

Note: feel like discriminate towards amd run deep on that site.. lol or is true.. R9 290 Sux.. ? wonder what score of judgement make them give that score..

Wrong benchmark data, stock 290X is definitely faster than stock GTX 780

I mean when you click apply it will auto save that clock speed and if its not stable and causing insta BSOD, you'll get a nightmare since it will restore that unstable clock every boot.

It won't because BSOD is only causes by unstable high clock speed during full load.

Booting into Windows won't get the card running at full speed, hence BSOD would not happen.

Stock R9-290 CFx 900p, later will do 1080p, GPU scaling is quite good from single to CFx in this bench.

OC'ed 1150/1325
