i was waiting for you to come here and post Score biggrin.gif !  wah why only 1600x900 ? 1920x1080 ? smile.gif ! R9 200 Series must be on the top! tongue.gif(i  scare  to play with volt core, i just oc Core clock/Mem..)
*
laugh.gif that's not even a good score tbh..you on the other side with your dual 290x should scored much higher that that...cpu bottleneck? you should monitor both GPU usage during benchmark..use afterburner.

QUOTE(ReverseDark @ Jan 31 2014, 09:13 PM)
thats some really high clock speed on ur 290!  notworthy.gif
*
your 780 score was even better than mine anyway, nice OC mate notworthy.gif. This is the max I can do on air..

my 780 is a lightning, the card itself can oc very gd with less effort,  sweat.gif ur 290 is refrence? what voltage needed to run at that clock? lm running on 1.2+v
*
yeah no wonder yours so powerful. mine is reference..running those clocks at ~1.22v that's the max I can go with MSI AB..

QUOTE(Unseen83 @ Jan 31 2014, 09:50 PM)
ah u know i got no talent in OC... i am new on this OC so i threaded carefully when OC... biggrin.gif  okay.. i use Afterburner next... (using TriXX Sapphire as i am using sapphire gpu)
*
I was also using sapphire 290 card but we can still use msi ab, asus gpu tweak and so on to OC as well as monitoring our sapphire GPU, there's no software brand restriction for our card smile.gif.. if you find overclocking as a fun thing..then enjoy overclocking bro biggrin.gif

yoo where is your mighty 4! X R9 290 ! Clock Core 1,225mhz Mem ,1400mhz set OFFsetVolt 200  seem sweet spot stable OC tongue.gif !!
*
Whoa, You don't really need 200mV for 1225, instead try 150mV or lower first.. should be enough for 1225MHz core. I just set 130mV for 1240MHz core but of course different chip requires diff amount of power to stabilize at certain clocks..try reduce the Voltage to necessary level to reduce VRMs and GPU temps bro..take a good care of our expensive GPU life nod.gif

"So R9 290X got low Score Cannot Possible, but also Cannot get Top score... rclxub.gif "

Its not driver mod but instead CCC override settings.. I'm just curious because the difference is so obvious that's why..20fps difference with a higher clock R9-290, now that's questionable.. no offense bro just wondering hmm.gif

if 290x true potential is really that much more powerful than 290..then I guess its time for an upgrade thumbup.gif

We have the same dell monitor, just doesn't cut it [Not good enough]. To much tearing sleep.gif what you think?
*
hmm..pardon me but I don't really face that problem tbh, been gaming at 1440p max settings possible I'm hardly get 60++fps with single 290 so tearing not a big issue to me. so far I can clearly see tearing in "Dishonour" and "Bioshock Infinite" games which is too obvious to me. Enabling V-sync solved that.

Oh, so that's how. Just open the case, turn on your air-cond and seat your mobi air-cond to your exposed case. Cool, I want to try it too.  tongue.gif
shepard
I would say he's lucky to have those score on his R9. He's on Ivy Bridge i7 and mine's a Sandy Bridge i5, definitely his CPU would help much there. biggrin.gif
*
opening the case, full blast air-cond etc will only help cooling the card and stabilize the OC, there's no further improvement on FPS at all by doing that unless the card was throttling before. so I still in doubt haha laugh.gif

btw, he's on haswell not ivy bridge and so far that I concern at this level of processing power, cpu wont give us huge boost in performance anymore, maybe 2-3 FPS at max. Since I'm running 4.8GHz haswell and unseen83 only 4.3GHz which is much lower than me that's why I've been questioning the score even more. this has nothing to do with jealousy whatsoever but more onto the fact behind the score, of course 290x is better than 290. from what I know 290 perf is close enough to 290x even when both cards oc'ed. It might be the driver 14.1 or something to do with win8 maybe?

QUOTE(sai86 @ Feb 9 2014, 09:32 PM)
after saw your score, only realize 290 = 2 times of 7970 score  shocking.gif
*
well bro this isn't a 24/7 score at all. most 290 can only be stabilize around 1075-1125 max 24/7 with air cooling and I believe your 7970 can do more than that. from my own test, this 290 was only about 20-25% faster than 7970 GHz. same goes when comparing OC'ed result for both cards. 7970 was still a beast card in my book..

I vote for 1440p leaderboard, as this has become quite a common resolution for enthusiast pc gamer nowadays. furthermore I don't think it'll be a hassle for TS since not much people gaming at this res just yet in Lyn.

At least we can see how good our current GPUs lineup handle the benchmark at 2560x1440 res smile.gif. Yagami5159, if you want to test your280x toxic at 1080p and 1440p, feel free to visit me at Greenlane nod.gif

Stock R9-290 CFx 900p, later will do 1080p, GPU scaling is quite good from single to CFx in this bench.

Trifire 290x+ 290s, scored quite low due to massive throttling on 290x, probably due to 4xPCIe 3.0 and no more bridges for CF. Tri-CF Config was 8x,4x,4x PCIE 3.0..quite bad laugh.gif
all 290x and 290s were at stock speed.

shepard that's quite a low score you got there, comparing with your 2x R9 290 with just a few hundred points difference. hmm.gif
*
yea the score is very low for 3x 290s but as I mentioned before its due to massive throttle on 290x and there's also throttling on both 290s cores, but guess I just ignore them because wont be using this setup anymore..just for the sake of testing smile.gif, new score with new setup will comes later wink.gif
