Once GST kicks in mid of next year, you will have to pay more not only for automobiles but property and everything else. Whether you shoudl wait for the facelift or not is a personal thing. IF you really need to replace your current vehicle now then the answer is clear. However, if you still can hold on to it then it is probably useful to do so, despite that one may have to pay higher(or lower) prices for new vehicles in the near future. The government's future policies are something that we cannot predict.

I don't think there is a fix for the transmission shudder/jerk at low speed acceleration as it is an inherent characteristic of the Powershift transmission, apart from the slight grinding noise during acceleration. So far these anomalies do not bother me too much. The jerks and grinding noise are quite minor in my vehicle and so far are acceptable to me. If the shuddering during low speed acceleration(only happens when the gear upshifts from 1 to 2) is too severe, then a "system update" will ameliorate the jerks by reducing the intensity and/or the frequency of the jerks.

Not too sure about the clutch replacement but I believe that is only applicable when something is damaged (severe jerking or breakdown).

Enjoy the Focus. The handling is the best I have experienced in a common passenger sedan vehicle.

i'm officially a FOFO owner now, well delivery wise, there's some complication but manage to settle it and collect it on time. driving experience, still not so familiar with the driving style yet but it would be fine if i drive it more often. in conclusion, its a great car. i would love to speed but my SA reminded me not to do so yet, wait until it reaches 1000 km mileage first.

any recommendation for the boot cover or carpet ? i'm afraid if i dont get a cover or anything to protect the fabric, it will definitely a mess in the long term. thanks

Ok so i just had a drive to cameron highlands with my new FOFO ( currently 560km mileage ) last week. As what you expected on the the traffic in cameron on weekends, so im stuck in a heavy traffic while on the way to a strawberry farm ( cant remember the name ). Suddenly while on the hilly road i got the transmission hot signal and asked to press the break. im not sure whether it is possible to press a break for 5-6 mins in a slow moving traffic. surely the car behinds will horn my car like crazy. so i just press my accelerator slowly till i can find a parking at the side. unfortunately my transmisson / gear got stucked and the car suddenly not moving at all. crazy one. its like the gear missed or slipped and the RPM keep on shooting up while the car not moving. when i press the accelerator hard suddenly the gear "kick in" and i manage to move forward till about 10 metres to a parking spot at the side of the road. crazy2. after that it seems normal but since then im overly anxious and over catious with any sounds and tik tok clunking grinding sound that my car made.

went to service center just now. they did a full system checkup and did a test drive and told everything is ok

Just got my car today and done installing raytech tint. Whooping 2.5k

Got 2 questions:
1. How to unlock the car without pressing on the remote control?
2. How to make the air-cond in mono mode? I tried holding the auto button for very long. I don't see the word mono.

yup. I'd called it slippage. especially on a hot weather or you've driven it long. It'll happen.

Got it change and i drove it back to ipoh on the next day. I'm not sure it's the new clutch needing a run-in or not or maybe they might've updated the firmware, let's say on 5/6th gear and cruising at sub 2k rpm, the engine vibrates.

a downshift would help but before the clutch change, i dont notice any vibration at all.

any of you guys experiencing this? highest gear, cruising at 2k rpm and lower.

Oh yea, I noticed 2 things too

1. Speed at 160km/h then i there is burning fume in the car O.O Do I need to wait for break in or what? When I slow down back to like 100km/h, the smell is gone.
2. At multi parking lot, after going through a ramp to higher floor, the gear will not shift to higher gear when reach flat road! I press until it reach 5k rpm. I have to let go the pedal until it reach like 2k rpm then i can feel the gear shifted, then only drive back to normal.

I know it would sync with the flywheel. Previously i dont have the vibrating sensation prior to changing to a new set of clutch assembly and now i have it which begs the question why/how is it happening.

Grinding sound and jerking at low speed are already normal in the current Focus. Level of acceptance will be dependent on the severity of the jerks and grinding.

NVH particularly sound from the suspension is not so good. Interior NVH as in rattling, similarly some minor rattling somewhere around the steering wheel. The Focus has fair NVH but the minor rattling sound spoils it a bit.

Minor jerking at low speed but not sure what vibration are you referring to. No vibration. This car does not have paddle shift but instead there is manual gears on the gear knob. You don't need the paddle shifters as the acceleration in D is decently powerful. There is Sports mode for a more enthusiastic drive or select driving conditions such as when driving up Genting Highlands.
