Did Ford offered you a substitute/backup car while your car is in the shop? If your car is still under warranty, they are able to offer you one (if you push them enough) seeing that your car has been in the shop for quite a long time.

Most likely ABS sensor as @aneip mentioned. Mine was replaced by warranty.

Folks with the Focus Mk3 Titanium sedan. Would like to ask what are the parts you have replaced to bring the car to its original state like the condition of a new car. In my mind the parts to replace are the engine mountings and suspension.

My car is now more than 5 years old but low mileage, still less than 60,000km. Everything from the engine mounting to the suspension and brake pads are all original and not replaced yet. I have read on this thread earlier about the engine mounts needing frequent replacement in say once a year but in my case it is still the original mounting for more than 5 years. Just recently I felt a mild vibration with the steering wheel when the car is on idle (car engine on but stationary and not moving). It is not really serious vibration but I guess this is the sign of the engine mounting aging which may need replacement to eliminate the mild vibration? The vibration isn't really serious but i can feel the steering wheel vibrating a little when i place my fingers on it.

I could live with the vibration but was just thinking if any of you guys have experienced a mild vibration on the steering wheel when you hold it. If yes, what was mileage on your car when you felt the vibration and did you replace the engine mounts to eliminate the vibration. Did the vibration go away when the engine mounts were replaced.

Lastly, the suspension of the car. I don't have a clue on what exactly to replace with the suspension, the parts that will eventually wear out with time that will need to be replaced. Is it the shock absorbers, the bushings, springs or something else that make up the whole suspension system. I am not really keen of upgrading the suspension setup of the car as the stock suspension of the car is already excellent to me and performing up to my expectations. A friend upgraded the suspension on the Focus Tdci to the Bilstein B6 or B8 at Bengkel Excellent Auto owned by Selvendran but i just want to restore the stock suspension of the car to its original new condition without changing to other types of suspension/brand.

If anyone has replaced the suspension with the original parts, would appreciate if you can share what are the parts you have replaced and at what mileage did you make the change. Did you perceive a noticeable improvement or change when the suspension was replaced with a new one. If yes, what are the changes. Is the suspension quieter and more responsive when going over bumps ie. not feeling soft or wallowy (worn out suspension).

Hi, I'm having trouble with my car (mk3.5). I can't start my car at first I assumed its battery problem but the radio, dashboard light are all working fine. So that couldn't be it but I remember on my last visit to Ford. The mechanic told me the battery voltage is quite low. But it could be the immobilizer too, no? I'm no expert here, just reading here and there.

I'm not sure on what should I do now. Should I call 'Batteryku' to come and replace my battery? I can't even start the car to bring to Ford SC.

Just fyi, accord dont have the start n stop so can use normal battery type. I m using it because of the warranty period 18 months. Fed up with 12 months warranty

Not yet.. Just done 160k servicing.. 6+ years. The error msg show once in few weeks.. Still monitoring. If need to replace maybe need to find half cut shop or something.. Don't think will fix new at 12k for part only.
