my upload speed seems to be faster than my download ..can anyone tell me how to fix this problem ?last time i got no problem at all ..recently , reformatted my comp n n reinstalled bitcomet ..i forgot the settings ..pls help me ..

like download : 35 kbps upload 40 kbps ..

your upload is choking your download
limit your upload speed will solve the problem

like limit your upload to 30kBps
then your download speed maybe increase

Before viewing the image let me inform u that it's STRICTLY JUST FOR FUN AND TESTING REASON

The speed that you see are actually from a LOCAL NETWORK

Basically i was playing around with BitComet as i got a desktop and a laptop which both has the same torrent.
Desktop i have a 17% completed on desktop and laptop i had a 27% completed and there is only a single file in the torrent download

What i'm doing here is that i don't want to restart my download and to choose either one to start so i set my laptop to seed the 27% completed torrent and my desktop run as normal where both laptop and desktop are under the same network. The connection was under wireless so i waited for 20 second and hoping it will work and here was the result.



Seriously i know its not my actual download speed but its cool to see the number this big when downloading and maybe one day i might try doing this under wired network

btw, i notice that any version that beyond v0.70 is lack of a function
thats what we call "ban IP"
i cant ban ip in any version that after v0.70, even same in v0.79......

i basically want to merge the same download file from 2 different source
as in the morning i was downloading the file in my desktop but has slow speed
then in the evening i was using my laptop to download the same torrent but with a much faster download rate

since there is only one file in the torrent so i basically have to merge it as the hash download might be different places.
Once i finish the download on my desktop and upload on my laptop, the overall is about 45% completed which better than 17% and 27% separate and have to sacrifice either one of the download file...

tried 0.60, 0.70 & 0.79, the spd is still <10kB/s, still couldn't escape frm shaping

dang!!does it work?make ur downloads complete faster..that means two different computers downloading on a single file, am i right?

i hav some problem with bitcomet. everytime when i open bitcomet 2 download things...it always clogs my internet connection. i cant browse internet. wat is the problem here?

I think i better make things clear....

First in the morning i was downloading torrent X with 0% on my desktop
Then i left out for class with my laptop while leaving the download continue
In the evening after class around Subang Area i was using TM Hotspot to online using my laptop and download the same torrent X again with 0% startup

So basically i'm downloading the same file again but in two different place. Once i reach home i on both my Bitcomet and set the torrent X in my laptop to upload even its not completed

Since both torrent are the same but the downloaded area are different and they are in the same network so the uploading speed are local which go through the router and that is how i got that download speed

you use 2 pc to download same file
but i use 2 different bt client at the same comp to download same file
the effect is quite good, the speed will increase slightly...
but i think your way is better...

btw, i try to make 2 bt client download same file before
but both of them at different saved location
give you all an advise: dun try this again

dwnld using 2 dif bt client can?i used bitlord try to open progress dwnld from bitcomet but cant hash check..end up starting at 0% again,before that file almost like 60% smthg.. (forgot which bt client i use to open the file )

juz can use 1 bt client to download same task at 1 time only
except if both of them are different file...

i stop bitcomet when using tuotu
stop tuotu when using bitcomet

sometimes when bitcomet cant download, will use tuotu and vice-versa

maybe the speed increase becoz when everytime i restart the task, can connect to different peer...

since 0.79 is lack of option & setting, i keep using 0.70 better, as speed is stillstable at around 55kbps.

add me in, i'm using 0.60 stable bersion.. .. i tried some newer version, but..thanks..i'll stick to this one..

Which version is the mos recommended? I last time use 7.0, but then everytime when downloading, I can't on my I.E, MSN, YM, and Firefox. So decided to upgrade to 7.9. Now running smooth but..... speed very slow.

yes, that's the correct version which i'm using.. 0.60..
no problem, i've been using BC since v 0.52 if i'm not mistaken..

but they seems to remove some option in the newer version, that's why i'm sticking with this version..
just need to alter the max connection setting on winxp manually.. (www.lvllord.de)
other than that, hassle-free..

i think v0.70 is more than any other version

about v0.60......
i think this version still got bug with DHT, and this version got Boss Key??
coz v0.57 didnt have boss key, now wondering start from what version got boss key settings...

i got one question here, recently i downloaded a movie. but it stop at 99.9% because there is no one seeding. i want to ask, is there any software that i can use to play the uncomplete movie? i tried VLC but cant work, i tried previewing using the bitcomet, but it didnt work too..
