logitech highend keyboards still use rubberdome .....

razer highend now also have mechanical keyboards  nod.gif
that said, having tried the razer black widow, i feel that there are better brand alternatives that has similar features for better value, e.g. Ducky Shine 3 or others ......

i guess what you should be stating first is your budget. If the budget is not high enough, you may need to just get a rubberdome. but i wouldn't recommend spending much on so called highend rubber dome keyboards for gaming. Just get the cheapest reliable rubberdome, if your budget is below that of a budget mechanical keyboard.

Cause no point really, wasting money otherwise  hmm.gif  that is my honest opinion.

Hi, thanks for the advice.
Do some survey and reading..came with Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Stealth 2013. Any comment on this keyboard?
Budget depending on the function of the keyboard. If the keyboard functioning as it should especially for gaming....willing to spend on it....
Thanks

what type of feature are you looking at a mechanical keyboard for it to be a "gaming" keyboard?

tell us the maximum price you would pay for a keyboard.
backlit? yes or no
full size or without numpad?

as for the type of switches, none of us can help because it depends on individual. some like linear, some like some tactile, some like tactile and click feedback.
you need to try this out with your own fingers to know.
but usually for typing and gaming combo ppl would recommend MX Brown.

Actually, looking for a keyboard with a backlight and for gaming purpose. Current keyboard hard to see during night (have to switch off the light-pass sleep time).
So, since I need to buy a new keyboard, I think better I buy a high end keyboard. My budget around RM400 and below...looking also for the appearance and quality of the keyboard. The razer look nice to me....simple but yet good for gaming....

not by our preferences even close, the closest you can get for quality is ducky shine 3, which is highly demanded and stock goes out in an instant, faster than McDonald serving burgers, laugh.gif

razer.. well.. prepare to bleed from head banging that keyboard

Hi,

So, you do have razer mouse? And you want a complete set of razer mouse and keyboard?

For full layout, I would recommend Ducky Shine 3. It will suits everything you need. smile.gif

What make you pening? Gaming in term of? Macro key, NKRO etc? Or you just need a mechanical keyboard for gaming? If you don't need those macro etc, get a standard layout mechanical keyboard.

For a good keyboard definitely mechanical keyboard.
Why not Razer keyboard? Because, not worth for the money with its performance. Branding cost money.
Do we biased against Razer? No, I do owned Razer mouse.

Not sure if you need or just want it. Then no choice, you only got Razer, Logitech or Corsair. Not sure if got LCD background. I can't find you mentioned LCD background, and you didn't mention need NKRO macro etc. I do play games but I don't need those unnecessary gimicks.

May I know why dislike Ducky? Due to Duck, too simple, too mainstream, unknown reputation?

then aesthetics and gimmicks is your main concern along with popular branding names icon_rolleyes.gif

most of us don't submit to brands that make sub par quality keyboards, which will be hard for us to recommend a keyboard suitable to your needs.
lcd background? u mean led backlit?

probably u should wait for the new corsair with RGB led switch, can change the led to any colour u want at any time flex.gif
media key, macro key, led, popular branding, semua ada for gaming, except quality build sadly, and non-standard layout which will degrade the looks.

Gaming Keyboard thread is more suitable for you then if our recommendation doesn't fit you laugh.gif
