You can press fn + spacebar to toggle the wasd to arrow keys instead of holding fn key.
Press fn+spacebar again to toggle it back to wasd.

Or u can flash the firmware to make the right alt, fn, pn, ctrl key become arrow keys.
I don't think there's any TKL mx bluecomes with PBT keycaps are available locally, that reminds me about keycool.
Other than that maybe vortex kbt oni mx brown.
*
Baru tau la pasal ini update wo... biggrin.gif How to flash anyway?

QUOTE(Y.J.S @ Jan 19 2014, 09:15 PM)
yes that pink one , I like thumbup.gif
I think if I gotta choose, I'll go for full layout since tenkeyless, 60% layout looks quite cacat sleep.gif

Yo man, you insulted me! cry.gif Me cacat typist. laugh.gif

For a commoner, they more attached to full layout. Like you guys attached to qwerty layout for typing.
Feel weird with other layout. smile.gif
I think that guy say cacat coz he always use full layout keyboard in PC.
For those always use laptop, then 60% keyboard looks pretty normal to them. smile.gif
*
I used 100%, underused numpad.
I used TKL, underused F-rows and arrow.
I used 60%, now I wish got arrow. LoL...

Anyway, I'm a keyboard and laptop typist. But my keyboard got numpad too. Some can adapt, some can't.

Your imagination keyboard is like this. laugh.gif
Why you will underused numpad? for function row, I can understand a bit.
*
I imagined and I can't accept the fact for it's odd layout. tongue.gif I seldom use numpad, except calculator which I often use my mobile or real calculator. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(Nojo @ Jan 20 2014, 01:54 AM)
The only time I uses numpad is when I use calculator and maybe last time when my password mostly consist of numbers  doh.gif

I am a common PC user, it's normal for me to feel that the TKL and 60% layout look cacat.

*
Your post sound that I'm an uncommon PC user. laugh.gif Once you get too deep with mechanical keyboard, you will consider TKL even though without numpad. I once a full size user before.

QUOTE(justintga @ Jan 21 2014, 12:20 PM)
Hi guys. Gave my Vortex Poker II a decent chance for a month and have learnt to “live” with the missing arrow keys and function keys but I’d rather fully enjoy the keyboard. Tbh, I don’t really use the arrow keys that much but once in a blue moon I need to do some spreadsheet work etc and miss the arrow keys. Also sometimes when I make typos, I want to use the arrow keys to move to the wrongly keyed in character and the arrow keys are just not there so I have to use the mouse instead. Requirements as below:

MUST - TKL layout with standard keycaps
MUST - Cherry MX Blues
Preferred - PBT keycaps
Preferred - Minimalistic look, similar to the Vortex Poker II (love the look!)

Budget RM400.

Thanks!!!
*
Poker II arrow aren't missing. It's there, but just need extra key and get used to it. I have quite a time keep my self familiar with fn+WASD, along with ctrl and shift.

I just damn sien order online. No credit card or paypal. Sigh. Will still find for it though. Cuz even Amazon doesn't carry it. They already pair it with the K60 and sell it as a bundle. =(
*
I shopping mostly from lowyat.net and so far I can get anything that I want at this site except booze and grass. We got a lot of agent for international shopping. Go to the tradezone, or agent/ forwarding service thread. Use the search button. Eg, you want to buy from Amazon, just search Amazon, spam the thread ask or quotation. Simple as that.

To make it simple, google "strawberrygirl lowyat". She help me buy something from Newegg.

If you utilize all the gimmicks, get the gimmicks keyboard.
If you plan to use the macro and the gimmicks, just get standard layout mech keyboard.
If you not sure you gonna use the gimmicks, get a standard layout mech keyboard.
If you think that the forumer advise doesn't suit your taste, get the gimmicks keyboard so it will satisfied you, until you realize you stuck with crappy ABS.

Awesome! Thanks for the heads up man.

But as for the gimmicks, I'm only looking for the WASD key caps man, mot gonna get the entire replacement key caps for the whole board hahaha. But macros I'm definitely gonna use.

Will check out this strawberrygirl. Thanks again!
*
The rubber WASD and 1234 can be obtain from Taobao. Previously a guy order his replacement and sell his extra spacebar. laugh.gif Who else gonna buy, except same keyboard user.

For me, gimmicks is when the features are underutilized. I knew that RTS and MMORPG gamers sometime heavily depend on this features. If the macro key that you really need, than you should buy gaming keyboard, plus satisfaction of spending money.

Gaming keyboard is not bad (except Razer) IMO. The only drawback for me is the layout itself. Their design indeed cool, and eye catchy. It's just from most of mech kb owner, usually they buy for gaming. In the end, you're addicted to customized them and didn't realized you just spent ridiculous amount for keycaps instead of changing your car tire.

Once a guy think that spending over RM 500 for a keyboard is silly especially TKL, and below that. Why spend more for less? But now, he's in the sillyland, never looking back at 3-headed-snake, the-logical-tech, and Trigonometric-air. True story. brows.gif

I see. So, 3snakes and trigo-air are gimmicks power house. smile.gif
*
Not really. I think they are good, on their own level. But some will say just use software for macro etc. I think it's more to preferences. For me they are gimmicks since I will never be using them. All the game I played doesn't need this kind of features.

Hi guys

First of all thanks to Human10 Moogle Stiltzkin [dadudeneverabides] for replying my post with some fine explanations.

Now I would like to have recommendations as :

Preferred Budget : Not more than RM1000
Preferred layout : full layout
Preferred switch : don't know? as long as it benefits a gamer, linear switches
Preferred keycaps : WASD sprayed/wrapped in PINK, others in WHITE.
Hopefully has LED lighting rclxms.gif

Add another RM100 and get this:

Don't get LED, less one thing to worried; dead LED. One LED die, wait for one month. 10 LED die, wait one month. I prefer all the LED dead. laugh.gif

is ducky shine 3 good enough in terms of their LEDs? I just watched the Unboxing of ducky shine 3. I wonder does it comes with other colours? black/grey is too common as a keyboard, I don't wanna waste RM4XX for a keyboard that looks like a RM4X one that anyone can get.
*
Find me black Duck 96 RM 4xx or Duck Mini RM 4xx. nod.gif laugh.gif Get Shine 3, won't regret. Unlike BN, tak suka, jangan beli. I will say tak suka, tukar warna la... laugh.gif Ada tukang paint sini bah.
