I also reverse camera no guide lines
rpm indeed sometimes 110kmh will reach 1.4k sometimes 1.1k, and the feeling you got from sudden acceleration sometimes responsive sometimes not responsive is the very famous cvt characteristic, rubber band effect, all 3 cvt cars i owned also like that one
Soundproof wise same problem like you, sometimes i thought i didnt shut the door right
If i rmb i did paid 600 for booking, she say refundable until i confirm the color, then apply loan for however much i want, then outstanding amount pay last as downpayment after loan approve.
*
i hope is not so much of rubber band effect and more of the ECU struggles like sleepwalker explained.

just got a quotation from MI. Splash guard + GST + labour is almost RM500. ohmy.gif
I wonder any different with AE Accessories which is only RM150 (without GST).
Seeing the photo on mudah.com, i wonder this "OEM Factory" version has any texture like the trims.

I am going for my first service tomorrow.

after 1st service, the feeling is smoother & quieter.
Engine oil use is Shell FS 5w-30.
Did the user manual state 0w-20?

Did MI SC in KL/Selangor has capabilities for tyre alignment & balancing. . MI Penang send to nearby tyre shop.

This is most likely the case of MI not stocking the required engine oil. I know Honda and Toyota stocks 0W-20 engine oil since most new cars are now using 0W-20 as standard engine oil. The heavier the oil the more stress it puts on the oil pump and all the moving parts.
*
hmm... anyone tried 0w-20?

i m surprised to see 5w-40 at AE

not sure what type of engine oil MI HQ poured in my xv, but this 5w 40 from other subaru branch.

Next time wanna try 0w-20 and feel the difference. Anyway TQ bossĀ  smile.gif
*
i once tried getting common brand for 5w-30 4L FS is already pretty difficult. I can't imagine 0w-20 or 5w-20.
I believe if can get 5w-20, it should be sufficient as the 'w' rating kind of no relevant to us.

How was the Subaru CKD quality? Mind to share any common issue, rattling sound, NVH etc? Lots of fren still remind not to get Subaru as hard to resale later or hard to get spare parts, mostly still prefer to get CX5 instead. I am comparing at the CKD Forestor 2.0P with the key selling point of AWD and personally I cant stand for any rattling sound.
*
so far no rattling & feel quite solid.
I doubt CX5 RV is a lot better than Forester, so as spare parts.
if change car every 5 yrs, better get T or H for max RV.
skyactive is good but the sym AWD is unique.

Compare to my LMST is like heaven & hell, great improvement in every ways.

The only thing I not so happy is the CVT responsiveness, there is a minor lag time in pick up.
*
from stop or moving (say around 60-80km/h)?

Yes. From stop to moving. Or sometime from 70km want to pick up to 110km.
There is a minor lag.

But after minor lag the power is there.
*
for picking up speed after moving, try down shift or a sudden gush (no flooring yet) the gas. Is like you hv to tell the car CPU that u want that gush of speed.
sometimes i m wondering could it because of the CVT that didn't have that gear change jerk that make us think is lagging?

i hv been driving manual for the past 20+ yrs, so i m still learning how to drive & expect from auto correctly. smile.gif

Me too, have been driving manual all my life.
So, still not so used to this yet.
I didn't try out the manual mode yet. Don't know how that pedal shift work.
*
if u r light footed type on ur manual, try to b slightly heavy & prepare to use the brake more.

if u drive manual mode, just work on up shifting. let the CPU do the down shift when slow down. is kind of difficult to up shift while turning bcos the pedal is away.

QUOTE(kevin613 @ May 9 2016, 05:03 PM)
possibly combination of CVT + DBW..
if this is your first Drive by wire car, you'll definitely notice the minor lag.
*
i think i learn to compensate it but a quicker foot action.

anyone feel the steering vibrates when not moving or turning slowly (usually leg off or light on the gas) and steering is turned around a quarter?

I also notice the vibration is lesser in N compare to D.

MI allows me to compare with his car which is somewhat more significant.

initially i tot hill start assist is some sophisticated & intelligence in the system bcos I kind of notice it was regularly emphasize in a popular brand.

after reading the manual, it is just a 2s delay in releasing the brake after lifting the foot of the peddle

The XV falls under SUV category while the ASX does not. That you have to go ask JPJ but it has nothing to do with the AWD.
*
yes, nothing to do with AWD or 4WD bcos Outlander 4WD falls under SUV category.

Looks like it could b something to do with size. xv is longer & wider. On second tot, is also doesn't make sense bcos Kembara & Rush also categorized as SUV tax.

it make sense bcos it is a sedan.
it doesn't really make sense for HRV, ASX which is not categorized as SUV rate.

Good to hear that on XV rattling.
*
i believe eventually after some years any brand will rattles or squeaks with the heat we have.
what is your expectation?

as for CKD XV, i think the quality feel is good. maybe owners of more than 1 years can share better experience.
I sat in a Outlander imported from Japan and the feeling is nothing to shout about.

2.0i-p = 159,046 - 12,500 = 146, 546
