rpm indeed sometimes 110kmh will reach 1.4k sometimes 1.1k, and the feeling you got from sudden acceleration sometimes responsive sometimes not responsive is the very famous cvt characteristic, rubber band effect, all 3 cvt cars i owned also like that one

This is most likely the case of MI not stocking the required engine oil. I know Honda and Toyota stocks 0W-20 engine oil since most new cars are now using 0W-20 as standard engine oil. The heavier the oil the more stress it puts on the oil pump and all the moving parts.

not sure what type of engine oil MI HQ poured in my xv, but this 5w 40 from other subaru branch.

Next time wanna try 0w-20 and feel the difference. Anyway TQ boss 

How was the Subaru CKD quality? Mind to share any common issue, rattling sound, NVH etc? Lots of fren still remind not to get Subaru as hard to resale later or hard to get spare parts, mostly still prefer to get CX5 instead. I am comparing at the CKD Forestor 2.0P with the key selling point of AWD and personally I cant stand for any rattling sound.

Yes. From stop to moving. Or sometime from 70km want to pick up to 110km.
There is a minor lag.

But after minor lag the power is there.

Me too, have been driving manual all my life.
So, still not so used to this yet.
I didn't try out the manual mode yet. Don't know how that pedal shift work.

possibly combination of CVT + DBW..
if this is your first Drive by wire car, you'll definitely notice the minor lag.

The XV falls under SUV category while the ASX does not. That you have to go ask JPJ but it has nothing to do with the AWD.
