Well, we've been lowballing as compared to other lavish clubs.

because our low balling strategy is too much til we are considered cheapstake...

player like salah who plays in europe match, good stat record, decent ability, 21 y/o some more can easily rate at 12m in nowadas football.. and we are starting the bid from 7m? it's too stupid to begin a deal with us.. basel are not that dumb

I think it was mostly because of our deals under KK with, specifically with Caroll and Downing.


Also we spent almost £50million in the last transfer window. With the likes of Aspas, Borini and Assaidi failed to make decent impressions and with Iiori and Alberto barely getting any game time, I think they are getting more stupid cautious with their spendings.

But still, if we want to make it to champions league this season, there's really no other choice but to spend.

Well we had one ex-gaffer who some LFC fans quoted have 'mixed buys', though kudos to him, he (ex gaffa) did turn it to a carousel & sold quite a number for some profit. Some small $$ (profit) but generally balanced the books (apparently). Still, he was be slighted for selling one much loved spaniard

not sure which season u talking about as the players you mentioned are not bought in the same season as far as i recall..
but i only remember we didn't spend much last transfer.. if u balance the in and out.. its not 50mill.. but maybe 20 mill only..

and we cant be going for squad players anymore.. if we want squad players.. better recall borini , assaidi and even suso.

It's not about player's quality we are missing, it's about how many players liverpool targeted, watches for months, the negotiated for weeks. So, suddenly spurs and chelsea come knock on the door and sit down in the middle of our negotiation. Open a suitcase of case and ask the players to join them. At the end, liverpool left scratching their head while watching the playing following them walk out from the room, time and time again. Get it?
