It's not about player's quality we are missing, it's about how many players liverpool targeted, watches for months, the negotiated for weeks. So, suddenly spurs and chelsea come knock on the door and sit down in the middle of our negotiation. Open a suitcase of case and ask the players to join them. At the end, liverpool left scratching their head while watching the playing following them walk out from the room, time and time again. Get it?
That's not the end of it. Our team ended up spending another 50 millions on 5-6 low-grade players.
It's still boil down to how much money liverpool willing to fork out. The delay is due to Basel is waiting for liverpool improved offer as Salah wants to enjoy first team ball and Anfield is his first choice. Basel's wait for liverpool was out of respect for the player to give final chance to liverpool. If liverpool still don't want to do anything about it. I would say, FSG is just nothing like old greedy american who just want to milk money out of liverpool instead of improving the club. I hope i can eat crow, but it doesn't seem like it.
We never had this kind of transfer kit under H&G. Never.
Supposedly we came back with an improved offer. Not sure if it's true we now tabled £18.5m (which I think it's nonsense)
I still think m salah much prefer to have join us instead of sitting on Jose's expensive bench. Though if the rumour of £18.5m (I'm pretty sure it's exaggerated or else why the hell did we not confirm/conclude earlier & save more ..? )
Not wanting to jump to much into the reported figure. We certainly require reinforcement in the midfield. Even a supposedly lost cause (this season) in manu, has stake their muscle/intention to not lose at least 4th placing without a fight a heavyweight (epl & CL proven player) signing
If it's £18.5m, we should just sign Xherdan Shaqiri instead.
