QUOTE(ET-Force @ Apr 25 2014, 08:57 PM)
is it maybe because of the nature of Viper is more light and small? Easier to carry in a carrier in large quantity? IDK, just assuming.

because Cobra is half the headache (cost, crew, support, logistic) and now even with similar radar and weapon package
and because it was built for the marine, the built quality is much more tough due to marine operate at sea.

heck IINM even heavyduty said that the cobra seen action twice then apache

the main reason I like viper due to its durability.
Low operation and maintenance cost were also gooding.

kecik dan ringan. macam apache tu berat gila especially bila bawak longbow radar.
cuba tengok afghanistan campaign, mana ada US apache bawak longbow radar along. only the british does it because of their rolls-royce engine (note: Westland Apache, not Boeing)
*
Yeah but the british operate their agustawestland apache capable to operate on navy ships just like what the US marine did with their AH-1Z Viper

Comparing Murican made Atck Heli.

Between Apache and Viper which one more gooding?
Are they any special role for either of the Heli to carry?
If i am to generalize between these two, for me both are atck heli with some minor differences like speed, weapons hardpoints and range.

But i dont know any major differences. Anyone care to story a bit?

AH-64E Guardian (Apache Longbow) ---> Heavy Attack Helicopter
AH-1Z Viper ---> Medium Attack Helicopter
AH-6 Little Bird ---> Light Attack Helicopter

because the brits navalised their westland apache, something which the murricans didn't do

stronger gears, more powerful engine, stuff like that
