QUOTE(Henry217 @ Mar 14 2014, 09:10 PM) if you want manual, get manual! I'm driving Vios 2012 J spec AT, 17x8 vossen, zerone hu/lo adjustable 6kg spring rate, 2" exhaust system, higher FC compared with others but I just love my ride! Hmmm.. Heard that the 17" tyre is double the price of the 15" one... I think I better stick back to 15", maybe next time change the tyres to Michelin Primacy LC, it reduces noise & better FC, i have done 4 doors sound dampening, if plus this one sure minus few more db...its the pride you must have, ita your ride after all 1) definitely a lot more higher, dont look at Michellin, you cant afford at all.. Falken is cheap 2) more stable ride, because, bigger tyre surface area 3) noisy is depends on tyre and sound proof through 4) definitely higher fuel consumption, you need some mods to stable your, power and FC 5) what do you think leh? |

QUOTE(fahmiyaeii @ Mar 15 2014, 01:00 PM) thanks QUOTE(maliwan @ Mar 15 2014, 04:09 PM) Ummm mostly engine maintenance thanks man, I love it too..btw nice car, love the look im currently using 16" (205/45/16) atm. you should feel the 'heavy' when you upgraded to 16 right? you will feel slightly more when you go for 17, but during cornering its very nice.. another thing, most likely you will hit your inner fender when you turn your wheels if you get 8jj.. |

Dear Sifus,
Question: Would you sell/trade-in your first hand Vios (Sep 2008 Registration, A/T, 60k mileage, problem free, perfect maintenance record, accident free) for the brand new 3rd Gen? Asked a few friends, some say yes, some say no. Assuming that paying the difference and securing a loan isn't an issue, would it still be money well spent? The Yes-Folks: 1. New Car! (The smell, latest gen, modern design bla bla...) 2. Better specs (More spacious, 5% better fuel efficiency?, more luggage space) 3. Safer (Default already comes with 2 airbags versus my current Zero) 4. Sell it now before problems crop up. (I have had ZERO issues with the car thus far. Touchwood) 5. Comfort? The No-folks: 1. "Lost" the depreciation during the first purchase already, now lose AGAIN by buying another new car. 2. Get in debt unnecessarily for a depreciating item (current Vios has been fully paid off 1.5 years ago) 3. New car doesn't mean no problems, why take the risk when the current one is a-okay. Tested the water with an agent, he's ready to accept a trade-in my Vios for 43k (thus actual balance of new Vios would be around 40k, depending which model I grab). Personal thoughts: The safety and specs are attractive Pro's, but really it's been a smooth ride and I doubt it'll give me >40k worth of maintenance and hassle over the next 5 years? Appreciate any constructive views for avid Vios owners (or any kindered soul who recently made the change?) Cheers |

QUOTE(maliwan @ Mar 14 2014, 08:04 PM) using Torco SR-1 5w30 with a bottle of Torco MPZ, i get slightly decrease in FC around 14.5 - 15km/L while gained smoother acceleration and coasting further i use SR-1R 10w40 previously i get better FC, minimum 15.2km/L to 15.8km/L but the accleration at low RPM is kinda sluggish, when cruising at high speed the car is more quiet, FC from KL to Penang full tank is around 17.2km/L, average 110-120km/h QUOTE(kithuei @ Mar 14 2014, 09:09 PM) For me i think is good...because previously i drive 1.3 Myvi. One tank only can drive around 300 ~ 330km. Now my vios can travel 420 one tank. that's very low, should reach 550+ for 38L of fuel, FC around 15km/L |
