QUOTE(Henry217 @ Mar 14 2014, 09:10 PM) if you want manual, get manual! I'm driving Vios 2012 J spec AT, 17x8 vossen, zerone hu/lo adjustable 6kg spring rate, 2" exhaust system, higher FC compared with others but I just love my ride! Bro its the pride you must have, ita your ride after all 1) definitely a lot more higher, dont look at Michellin, you cant afford at all.. Falken is cheap 2) more stable ride, because, bigger tyre surface area 3) noisy is depends on tyre and sound proof through 4) definitely higher fuel consumption, you need some mods to stable your, power and FC 5) what do you think leh? |

QUOTE(Henry217 @ Mar 15 2014, 04:36 PM) thanks so the "heavy" feeling. icic. u havnt asnwerabout the maintenance yet thanks man, I love it too.. you should feel the 'heavy' when you upgraded to 16 right? you will feel slightly more when you go for 17, but during cornering its very nice.. another thing, most likely you will hit your inner fender when you turn your wheels if you get 8jj.. and ya, been thinking about the fender as well, but rear wheels. i usually load quite some passengers, so rear tyres are very close to the fender, if i chg to 8jj, |

QUOTE(amduser @ Mar 16 2014, 11:00 AM) using Torco SR-1 5w30 with a bottle of Torco MPZ, i get slightly decrease in FC around 14.5 - 15km/L while gained smoother acceleration and coasting further I see, thanks for sharing. For now im using toyota full synt EO, how is it compared to Torco?i use SR-1R 10w40 previously i get better FC, minimum 15.2km/L to 15.8km/L but the accleration at low RPM is kinda sluggish, when cruising at high speed the car is more quiet, FC from KL to Penang full tank is around 17.2km/L, average 110-120km/h Any other opinions are very welcome |

QUOTE(RoxyMunky @ Mar 19 2014, 12:03 PM) finally solved this... collected my car on Monday late noon. Wow, i personally highly dislike of what happend in ur case, The rattling noise is gone. Its actually comes from the seatbelt mechanism on driver side B pillar; behind the plastic housings. Phew! However, i would like to share that this particular Toyota Balakong SC is not recommended if you plan to leave your car there for some time. After i collected my car: 1. Got thick grease stain on my car seat, and B pillar body. 2. Some kind of liquid on my car mat on rear seat 3. Scratches all over my plastic housing that covers the B pillar; and door panels after they fiddle around with 4. My fuel tank becomes EMPTY; whereby my ODO trip meters at 290km only. My average mileage per tank is around 400. When i send in my car, it was around 210km. 5. My total ODO was around 58xx, when i got my car; its at 59xx. I highly suspected that they drive my car around and thrash it. 6. Sweet liquid(like Teh or Milo) stain on my cabin; especially the centre console cover. I wonder if i could bang table at their Manager office. I'm so pissed off now. from the points u stated, very not professional to drive around client's car. Mayb at least u can try make complain and see what their explaination but im not sure the result would side to u.. |

When driving, if i open left side-front passenger window, i can hear "tak tak tak tak tak tak" sound from front left tyre, the speed of sound increase as i speed up. That sound come from where? is it the brake caliper or something?

QUOTE(RoxyMunky @ Mar 31 2014, 11:21 AM) good things doesn't come cheap. Bro, u bought the latest gen of vios? unless you buy their higher end model like C/D Segment car. The target is difference hence build quality is better. i'm really regretted this Vios J purchase. hmmm anyone can suggest me good tyre brand for my budget range, let say budget >rm200/tyre. size 205/45/16. for now im using falken. Last week when traveling using LPT, my car became unstable when reaching 100kmh and up (i top at 180kmh), so i went to sc the next day, he said my tyre isnt in good shape already, the thread are uneven, This post has been edited by maliwan: Mar 31 2014, 12:18 PM |

Hi all.
Got a question here. When travelling for about 60-70km/h, i can hear "wong wong wong" sound from front tyres, not sure left or right. 1. I just changed all 4 tyres. (new tyre will make this sound) since it new tyre, uneven thread would be out of the question right? 2. I just did all balancing and alignment. 3. Could it possibly bearing? If so, how dangerous is it? Planning to go to sc this afternoon for thorough check. Thx all. |

QUOTE(RoxyMunky @ Jul 23 2014, 11:21 AM) pregnant means swollen tyre.. yes... just got back from SC , tyres all good, the problem was bearing. as you drive, the tyre rolls.. uneven rotation create space in between tyre and road... thats why the wong wong noise. for bearing, worst case scenario is that the wheel might fall off... my suggestion, send to trusted foreman to check it out first. after raya made appointment to replace right-rear wheel bearing. hopefully can get all done before october, while warranty still cover.. if not RM1.3k++ per bearing for rear ones, while front only cost RM200++. Thts SC price, not sure how much outside workshop price. ...and lets just pray worst case scenario wont happen at all. This post has been edited by maliwan: Jul 23 2014, 07:00 PM |
