QUOTE(Clueless07 @ Jun 2 2014, 06:20 PM) Wah- really ka. i tend to agree with RegentCid unless you really enjoy such stuffs. I think your Kyoto trip is bare, Day 2 and day 6 can be combined. So you will have extra day for either Kyoto, Nara or Kobe. Maybe you are not a cultural/heritage/scenery kind of traveler? Comment damn blunt- but point taken as enlightenment. Can share which are the stupid places which should strike out? Will take the this evening to re-plan. Probably Day 5 will travel to either Nara Or Kobe then. |

Ok...
did a quick check on both Nara and Kobe. Kobe seems like a big city, but dun really see much attractions wo. Seems like Kawasaki world and a few mountains. Did i miss anything? Probably i will make Day 5- Morning - Nara Park, Todaiji Temple and Isuien Garden Afternoon Tempozan area ( aquarium, muzium, ferris wheel) |

QUOTE(jepertine90 @ Jun 2 2014, 10:28 AM) Hi ZombieLand, Thanks...I did my homework but pretty confused with certain things...the mode of transport between and with osaka and kyoto....is it cheaper to us icoca or to use the JR pass? Can anyone enlighten me of this?We can't actually suggest anything for you based on this.. you need to do homework yourself for your itinerary. 1) good guesthouse/hostel that u recommend -there's no good guesthouse/hostel as most of them are pretty good because it is japan, this sole based on the places you travel to set your base. 2) cheapest mode of transport to these places -cheapest mode always public transport, train, buses, bicycle, and your leg 3) ur suggestion on the itinerary -do homework as many forumers told me before 4) any good places that could not be missed -do homework.. basically all place are good.. please visit https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3092421/+2160 for all your inquiry... |

Can anyone enlighten me of this? depends on where you want to go. you can always use hyperdia.com to check your train, it will show which type of train and fare you going to take. From there you can calculate how are you going to utilize those passes. However just within Osaka, you can buy Osaka Unlimited Pass.. In Kyoto, you can always take bus(kyoto 1 day buss = 500 yen).. if you keep travel between osaka and kyoto, kansai thru pass is suitable.. which can go to Nara and other places as well.. |

Wonder if anyone can help about a question from my friend. He came here as tourist and bought some tax free stuff. A form is staple to his passport and he is suppose to pass it to the custom after check-in and immigration. Question is what happen if he forgot to do it? If he were to pass it to the custom, will custom check the actual goods? Reason I ask is because I am not eligible for tax free stuff and the thing he bought is quite big and he is thinking of checking into cargo instead.
