Not sure about Osaka, but in Tokyo, you can get some expenisve watches like Rolex, Omega, Hublot, much cheaper than in Malaysia. And you have more choices. Furthermore you wont be tax the 8% here in Japan. But bring back to Malaysia, no idea......Can give you the URL if you want. The shop sells new and used watches

Are these instructions correct?

Okay, so I travel from Shin-Osaka Station to Tokyo Station. When I buy the Nozomi unreserved ticket, I receive 2 tickets, base fare ticket and seat fare ticket. I insert both ticket (at the same time) to the entry gate at Shin-Osaka Station and collect both tickets.

When I reach Tokyo Station, I walk through the shinkashen transfer gate (without leaving JR station) and I insert both tickets again. I then collect the base fare ticket only.

From there I walk to the Yamanote Line and ride the train for Ueno. Once I reach Ueno Station, I insert the base fare ticket at the exit gate and do not need to collect any ticket. I do not need to pay any other fare for this trip from Tokyo Station to Ueno Station.

Thank you

Flight from tokyo to sapporo is around RM360 one way, so do your math
The train ride from tokyo to sapporo is about 10 hours, flight is1.5 hours, or about 3-4 hours if you factor in the timeto get to and from airport, check in, etc

Quick question. Is this reliable info on Japan's school terms?? Looking to fly into Tokyo on 1st September and fly out of Osaka on the 10th. Got Disney and USJ planned on the weekdays so do not want to clash with school holidays crowds.

yes it's accurate but doesn't apply to all schools. for example primary schools may start at a different time from high schools but they will start mostly at the end of august/beginning september.

On the shinkansen from shin-osaka to tokyo, the 2-seater is on the left while the 3-seater is on the right, correct?

To get a glimpse of the Tokyo Tower, I should sit on the left side, correct?

Did you notice whether the shops at higashiyama/kiyomizudera selling red torii gate magnet?

If they are available, then i can push Fushimi Inari visit to night time to allow more time at higashiyama/kiyomizudera.

I was back from kyoto last wednesday. Went to arashiyama, kinkakuji, teramachi shopping, kiyomizudera..did not notice fushimi inari magnet. I found one shop at shinkyogoku shopping that sells fushimi inari drawing though

Very hard to see Tokyo tower. Only can view it the Gap between Building to building. Less than a sec view.

Only this Gap. With that speed & that gap wide......only half a sec
