Its something like JDM (Japan Domestic Model) cars in the phone world where these phone models are meant strictly for the Japanesse market. The Z1F in Japan ( Currently Z1C Here) was launched quite some time ago in Japan and only recently launched in the international markets.

For this price range and for the specs given, we couldnt ask for more. My only complain is that the GUI by Sony is a bit bland and conventional. Not as nice like Samsung or IOS. tongue.gif

You can order online for a mere Usd $20 but removing the back cover and replacing it with this will void the warranty. unsure.gif Not to mention removing and refitting the backcover wrongly may affect the phone in terms of waterproofing.

Does anyone of you with really good battery life post the screenshot? Mine just about 4-5 on screen time, which is cool. But during idle, is about 1% per hour, which I kinda sad. I have data always on, still experimenting, and observing.

for me 1% per hour is good. dunno if somebody got better than that.
my late s3 with 3000mah battery last about the same (with root, bloatware removed, underclocked, blabla).
but z1c can do it without root and tweak here and there. i dont mind if they incrase the thickness and put in 3000mah battery for this z1c. haha

yup, i never had a phone dat can last 1% per hour idling on data before, even my record was 2% last time but dat was with wifi which eat less battery

yaloh, nw i realised hw important batery life is, i oso dun mind it being thicker wif 3000 mah battery, if realy 3000mah battery then dis phone i think can last 3 days liao, haha

Yeah, I'm really loving the battery life man. I was shocked when I clocked more than 2 days on my phone, whereas my previous S2 struggled with even 1 day.

And again, I've totally forgotten how good it feels, to be able to just use the damn phone as I wish, GPS, whatpsapp, etc and not have to worry about running out of battery when I'm out. Go home late nights. Still got batt. Wait next morning in office then only start charging.

1% per hour and you still complain???? Do you know your phone is powered on and background apps are running. Not to mention network search. You can opt to put it on stamina mode or turn off data if you want to save on battery. One more guess is that this is your first smartphone. nod.gif

Its really hard to please consumers nowadays which requests for the impossible.. rclxub.gif

To put things in perspective, 1% an hour means you have 100 hours. How many days is that? sweat.gif

Cool, thank you guys, but i actually turn on Stamnina mode, sorry didn't mention it. I love the battery life so far, just greedy to make it more. However, i find the culprit, i have whatsapp, gmail and wechat in Stamina mode whitelist, and still not statisfied, the phone should be totally cut off during stamina mode, and still can see lot of awake. So, i cancel wechat in whitelist, now it seems much much better. Screen on = awake.

Hehe, don't worry with all the bashing, i'm not first time user of smartphone. With Galaxy S2 previously, i can achieved 1% over 4 hours with wifi turn on. Used to flash my phone, but my z1 compact was a gift to me, love it so much and not gonna root/unlock it.

with wifi and data calculation are not match.. Wifi much more power save due to internet connection just within few meter from your phone, but data is signal reception from tower. From concept and reality, data consume a lot of battery life..

Wechat will be 1 of the problem on battery hunger.. I've uninstalled it and installed on my iPad. Can play game through iPad and seldom use it as well.. Mostly i'm using whatsapp and Line. consider ok la 1~3% idle per hour.. example u go office work for 8 hours.. between of it, 7 hours u are not touching phone.. Deduct 20% of battery.. u still got 80% of battery to go.. more than enough la bro..

Im using my phone to listen music with bluetooth headset SBH20. From driving to back home. Around 8 hours+ listen fm/music.. go back home still got around 30%+ battery life.. I'm very appreciated day.. haha
