I'm pretty sure with a 2300mah and a different display, the batter would last longer than the current Z1. Coupled with the KitKat 4.4 os, it should definately last more than a day with fair usage.

finally, just hope that the price would be in the range of rm1500, but maybe it's just my wishful thinking

2300mAH is a lot. My dad's Xperia SP last for two days normal usage and it is a 4.6".

if wanna compare, should take XZ and XZR as reference. this should give a better idea of the battery performance

why not, knowing sony for years, their price always the main culprit of its product. also altho XZU is selling 1999, it only has 8mp camera, xz1compact got 20mp wit flash .

Hate to admit but it's true tho. xperias only notable deal breaker is battery life, even the most recent flagship Z1 performs miserably in battery test (video & web browsing) compared to LGG2 eventho they both have the same juice. SOS

Well, I wouldn't call the Z1 a phablet, although it is huge.

The compact size with powerful processor and specs means it has so much spare horsepower for the future. Combine with metal casing and waterproof, should hopefully last very long. Considering I'm using the S2, it's not much of a difference in terms of size for me, so it really is tempting.
Apparently the G2 is really more efficient than the Z1, although in real life usage, I wonder if the gap is really that big? Haven't really read the battery consumption reports of users in the G2 thread.

Anyway, yeah, only issue now is battery life for me. I want a phone that lasts a day without charging.

Currently im using iPhone 5 n xperia z, the difference in size between btween these two r significant. For media playback, browsing n reading manga, navigation app, it is advantages withnlarger screen of my xz, however for msg and call, I prefer the iPhone 5 for very convenient one hand operation. This phone the z1 compact really tempting huhu.

If we're to speak of battery life of Z1 la... I forgot to screencap but the other day

23 hours+ (not yet 24) and battery was around 45% used.
