Hi guys, I'm driving previous gen Elantra (pre facelift). Recently my car have this knock knock noise from suspension (I suppose) when going over hump or ascending lane. I went to check at workshop and the foreman told me that it is steering rack issue and replace a new one I would cost around 4k. Anyone encounter similar issue before? Please advise if yes. Thanks!

mine also got this issue, but that if when press brake crossing bumper... have u tried changing brake pad??

same.. i went to hyundai and it says due to broken coupling that cost 5 bucks, but the workmanship cost me 115 bucks.

Haiz, My one still wait warrany status for airbeg problem.
Already 1 month still no have news.
Now millage 100k d.

Btw need ask those have change their suspendstion system will the car feel more comfort or not.
Mine one now got knock knock sound d.
I being quote by brand call permium suspention for whole car 4k.
Sut i go for it or remain to stock brand.

Headache now.

Mine was sound coming from steering, i got the replacement for steering rack lucky that found out this 1 month before warranty expired. It was done by SC Glenmarie, was told that the cost is around 3k. Maybe you can check with Glenmarie.



I also having this issue, and this is due to front absorber problem need to replace, but i just leave it there as the cost need RM700 - RM800 for a pair.

Anyone has idea on what is the color code for 2013 Elantra 1.8 Red ?

also got the ketak2 sound. Warranty for elantra steering rack is 5years or 300k millage, right?

Do you already replace the steering bush?Before replacing,try move the steering wheel left and right during free play.If got knocking noise,replace the bush first.

Racing bar can be installed,will not touching warranty issue but brake line maybe due to out of factory recommendation.

Recently service in Hyundai glenmarie and there's a guy calling from there saying my front brake pads are very thin and it cost 300 bucks for each side.
So I went outside and change but then I noticed my brake pads aren't thin at all.
So did Hyundai glenmarie just cheated me?

I didn't ask the uncle to check before he change.. he already took it out when I saw it..zzz it's a brand call hi-q.. total below 100 bucks for both sides
