Have 2 change the whole bumper n i just enquire from sd claim dept. cost roughly RM1800. Any ideal penang can get bro. The bumper crack on the front driver side only n i am not sure can be repair. Tomorrow going to send to sd sc n hopefully can be repair but for fiber plastic i dont think so.
*
I tot just the bottom part only, but whole bumper?? sure more expensive d, need spray color summore...
u try go those spare part shop ask c c..
BTW, if the bumper not seriously damage, some pro repairer can use back the current bumper and stick/screw back to the car (cos sumtime is the hook inside broken only).. My fren got hit (persona) by other car from behind, no need change new also. Is cheaper but dunnoe last long or not.

It's up to you, the potential buyer..

1. If want good discount with new design, then need wait longer, 1/2 - 1 year after new design is launched...
2. If just want huge discount and like both of the designs, then can wait till this year end (stock clearance and new model coming)...
3. If just want new design, wait till the new car launch...
4. or wan it soon with good discount, take it now.

But, another question, can you wait for so long?? my 2cents...

Yesterday morning, 7.30am, after parking the car, I turned it off and later pressed the start button once to enable the radio function only with usb drive in. After listening I pressed the start button twice without pressing the brake. The display said "goodbye" and I locked the car. I didn't start the car. At 4.30pm when I returned to start the car I realized it didn't respond to the remote or smart switch on the door handle. I used the key to open the door and placed the back of the key on the start stop button and tried to start the car. Still nothing started. The instrument cluster panel was dead, black. I changed my battery in June 2014. I had to jump start the car and later seemed to have no problem. This morning after 7 hours of switching off, the car started normally.

Question: 1. The usb drive plugged in in radio only function and later car switched off, can it cause some weird electrical issue ?

Thanks

I tot just need press once only to off the engine when in acc mode?

Luckily the bumper can be patch but the paint colour is a bit different n cost only RM260.00, but this guys is really good bcos when I went to SDSC they told me have to change the whole bumper n cost around RM1500.00. Anyway thanks for your concern.
*
I think their charge still ok, jus maybe charge extra cos more expensive car..
I done it before (not elantra) for whole new front bumper and it cost me only about 150 for metalic paint and 50 for labor... And my fren get around the same price too when he did it for his car at another shop..
if done by pro car paint, the new paint definitely looks more shining n brigther, but after few weeks, the color will turn the same (thatsmy experience)

Hi all, new elantra owner reported in here!!!

Wil be taking the elantra 1.6 sports next week due to long merdeka holiday until next monday.

But wanna ask all sifu here that I'm more keen to get a head unit with touchscreen panel w reverse camera than the original head unit that came with the 1.6. Any recommendations? Some ask me take the 1.8 head unit, some ask me take outside brand like adayo...
*
My comments:

To me, both HUs (Adayo vs Hanns) are slow in response. You will need to wait for few seconds after each press to other options (radio, gps, dvd, etc) and GPS needs around 10-20 seconds to find signals and another 20-30 seconds to locate place.

Adayo seems perform a bit faster than original HU in terms of GPS cos a lot 1.8 users says it need more than 1minute. Under sunlight, you will find both HUs that the visibility of the screen is worst, almost can see nothing.

The best thing about Adayo than Hanns is the price, and of cos both can support reverse camera. Else it's just a waste for its big screen (slightly bigger than Hanns if not mistaken). It's also compatible with the steering control and USB/AUX ports. The good or bad of reverse camera is depends on the brand/camera chosed, so it's not affected by the HU.

BTW, they got nice blue illuminations on the buttons at nite which make them prettier!

Oh I see...Thanks!  That's why i a bit reluctant after trying out the HU on 1.8. Another option is to get a screen panel backview mirror, where normally it acts as backview mirror, but with part of the mirror becoming screen for reverse camera. Since GPS is not very responsive I think I will use smartphone (waze or google maps) as navigation la...
*
The main reason why am I getting the new HU is to have the GPS built in, so that no need to have extra gadget on windscreen which to me it looks a bit awkward for a "premium" car like Elantra..
but Papago really not so good, slow in response and don't have location for quite a lot of places. but not too worse also..

There are few brands out there than can fit into Elantra nicely, price ranged from 700-3,000. And some models can be fitted nicely with after market casing, like pioneer and kenwood.
