previously i do jailbreak my iphone 4 , but now not anymore ... just stick to the official ios ... my opinion regarding jailbreak ? ... basically its good for those who love customize the ios , it makes your iphone different from others .. tweaks here and there , lots of us here love to play with the tweaks .. plus you can enable things that standard iphone cant do .. for me myself , like i mentioned before , i prefer stick to the official ios because at one point im not interested to play those tweaks anymore

those tweaks are not just as u said for appearance, it give u more convenience make ur life easier, and alternative activator button to protect ur home & power button form being spoilt. in most of ppl mind set, jailbreak is for pirated apps alamak.

I think 7.0.5 can jailbreak...last can jailbreak 7.0.6

there are some tweak can fasten the respond time for everything too, just that we need alot of time and patience to DIY ourself
and forget about those pirated apps, since alot of website can provide itunes gift card for free legally provided you DL and try their promo apps

jailbreak makes ios much better in terms of adding useful functions and shortcuts.

if youre talking about lag or slow, maybe u shouldnt install to much tweaks that is not useful. themes not really important, for me.

im a jailbreak person from 3gs till 5s. never face any issue or failed me in 5 years time.

u just have to be smart. thats all.

At first i plan straight jailbreak without restore but it always fail near the end of the process. After that, i figured out that it failed because i updated to 7.0.5 through OTA. Until now i haven't jailbreak and found no solution.

I think you can try jailbreak without restore but it "might cause lag"? And I not sure whether the latest evasion jailbreak tools can perform jailbreak on ios 6.1.2 or not.

can you pls tell me how to you know that it failed do to upgrade thru OTA? if that's the case, maybe you can try to factory restore with IPSW , then re-jailbreak again.

I googling around and i found this websites.

Devices that were OTA updated to 7.x will not jailbreak in most cases.

As I know we cannot downgrade to any old ios version if apple stop signing it.
